The hotel is very accommodating. Friendly staff. Great location--very close to the U and S-Bahn. All rooms have a good size kitchen (with silverware, pans, and pots included) and a balcony. A delicious breakfast is included in the price---who can ask for anything else. Say hi to Hans at breakfast---he always greeted us with a smile. The appartments were large, included breakfast, staff were polite and helpful and it was excellent value for money. Public transport was very close, very easy to get around.

The parking area is enclosed so your car is safe. It's location is 2 or 3 blocks from the Natural History Museum, which our kids enjoyed. Central position, next to metro stations. Rooms to the front can be a bit loud because of the tram outside. The CD Player at thr room did not work properly, and breakfast's Expresso Coffee machine was broken (a big problem for whose appreciate Coffee), but these are minor details.We did not have to pay for breakfast because it was included in the price of the room, but I thought 12 euros was way too high for the selection. The street noise was quite loud and we needed to keep the windows open for the breeze to keep the room cool, so I would recommend requesting a garden apartment or bring earplugs.Housekeeping was so-so. Unfortunately it looked as though our room was left out of the 'cleaning' round. We had to ask for towels and additional toilet rolls.We booked a double room and got 2 single bed pushed together, which weregreat on there own but not together. The late arrivals gust to face a problem with the check in. The hotel should send a massage via the email how to to check in after 2200.spots on the carpets, and some very dusty tables next to the bed. Would have liked to rent an English DVD, as mentioned in the hotel booklet. However the man at reception told me that the list of DVDs was lost and he had no idea which ones were in English, and he did not bother to look.There was no bar facilities or dinner facilites on site. Daily cleaning wasn´t so professional, but we could handle it.The daily cleaning of the room could have been better. The reception closes at 10 pm at night so call before your trip to get info how to get the keys to get in. The room was not cleaned very well and some of the breakfast staff were quite rude.Not a terrible neighborhood but not great. If your room overlooks the street, it is very noisy and you won't want to leave your windows open at night for air and there isn't any air conditioning. I would recommend asking for a room on the backside,over the courtyard which is a much nicer view. Also, the beds were a bit hard for our liking (but the kids slept fine). Not close to most sites. no microwave, when coffee maker, toaster and kettle used at same time tripped out the electric in the kitchen. although states daily cleaning was not vacuumed during stay, no second key available. breakfast, room services. - The room cleaning service was poor: it sounds the daily cleaning of the room was restricted to doing the beds and not a real room cleaning. There wasn't shampoo and shower gel available, even after I asked reception for them.The noise outside was terrible, constant traffic also the cleaniness of the room was not the best, only changed our towel 1 once over 4 days, we had to ask for clean towels and when they cleaned the room they only made the bed. Service: sampoo was delivered only after our request!! It shouldrenewed daily.Is free wireless just only in reception room and not in own room, Notgood cleaning and often not refil some stuff for bathroom and kitchen orcoffee maker.... dirty. Dirtiness!! We found plenty of hair in the toilet the first day, no toilet paper, lack of a pillowcase on a bed. Other users claim the lack of cleanliness, too. Then, they made us sign the reservation and made us pay the whole bill in advance, in spite of what stated on the site (prejudice?). Relatively poor breakfast. Definitively NOT a 4 star hotel.

If approaching Berlin from the nouth on the A114 motorway, take the Pankow exit and then follow Prenzlauer Promenade, Prenzlauer Allee, Danziger Straße as far as Eberswalder Straße. Turn left into Kastanienallee, and then follow the Veteranenstraße and the Invalidenstraße. If approaching Berlin from the east on the A113 motorway, exit at the Schönefelder Kreuz junction and then follow the signs for the city centre, take the B96a through Treptow, drive through Friedrichshain as far as the TV tower, and then turn into Spandauer Straße, Rosenthaler Straße, Brunnenstraße and then turn left into Invalidenstraße.
