Ideal central location, quaint and authentic German ambience, proximity to Caracella bath and to downtown shopping/dining, lovely vacation apartment with plenty of room for family, friendly staff, hearty breakfast with plenty of variety, great value compared with other hotels we considered, dog-friendly. Exactly the experience we were hoping for!. Hotel is small in size, compared to a holiday inn, which created a homely atmosphere. The room we stayed in was beautifully decorated, we were very impressed with the standards plus the hotel is situated on a quiet street which lead immediately into the town square.

Even with a 10:30 checkout, the cleaning staff couldn`t wait until we'd checked out to start cleaning our room. We left to go to the market and came back to find tha our room had been stripped...no towels left, etc. It would have been appreciated if they had waited a little longer before coming in our room. room 2 very cramped and small overlooked noisy road . restaurant shut Mon - Wed .The room was too small (room 5) with no windows onto the outside - theyopened onto a covered 'patio'. Decoration of the room was unattractive,yellow paint and cheap pictures. Breakfast was bad, especially thecoffee. I have stayed in Baden Baden before in cheaper rooms which havebeen better and bigger than this one, and in a reasonable location. It'snot worth paying more for this one.
