We were upgraded to an executive room without even asking, the beds werereally large and comfortable. We had fresh fruit and cocktails waitingfor us on our arrival and we liked the fact we could bring our cat intothe hotel room too. Breakfast was lovely, plenty to eat and drink andwell worth it. Great location, right in the city and across the roadfrom the train station. Central location (walking distance to main city highlights), friendly staff, spacious (triple) room and bathroom, air conditioning in the room, complimentary extra bed for one child (without requesting it), excellent breakfast, convenient and affordable parking arrangement in the vicinity.

The shower nozzle was a hand held type with no wall mounted holder; Thereservation was made in my guest name instead of mine which made theinitial encounter a bit stressing for all involved!. Only problem was its location in the end- Turkey won their game in the Euro cup and spent over an hour at 11pm honking their horns up and down the street in front of the station (and therefore the hotel). Next time I'll check there are no games on!. no air conditioning in the room. there was no separate bar / lounge area (only the reception area) The TV system throughout hotel was not working properly. The lock of the door is ancient. I did not feel particularly unsafe, but it really is not a proper lock. The electric power outlets in the room were not enough, and inconvenient - for example, there was a tea / coffe machine in the room, but there was no convenient plug to plug it in...Week end pass for Strasbourg is not so great... not really usefull for two adults... I would not pay extra again for it. The breakfast was sufficient , but for a 3 star hotel I would expectsomething more.Breakfast was not that great. could be more TV channels, the shower set was not on the wall, therefore it was difficult to have a shower. in the bathroom there is no any towel inside. It was fine for our purposes of an overnight stay en route elsewhere. Handy enough for the city centre and a good breakfast. Very much an hotel for the business visitor.There is no air conditioning in the "traditional" rooms. rooms are not done to same standard, twin beds were annoying. Not quite as good as it looked in the pictures but still a good place. The breakfast was really basic. a window didn't close properly. The hotel is under construction. Only one elevator functioning and it did not seem to be safe.The locking system of the doors of my room is old fashioned. Die entry door is not a very welcoming door it opens to the outside direction. A rotating door would be more inviting. A bit more explanation with before Bathroom is good and clean, rooms are serviced. Disappointing was that their were drinks on my bill I never drank. Of course I didn't need to pay those, Overall note, OK. All critics have been expressed by previous commentators and my personal critics were forwarded directly to the hotel.Common areas very nicely renovated, bathroom untouched since circa 1974. the rooms are semi-renovated, the closets need more work, and the room I stayed in head a weird double door entrence, besides all the rooms need a good door and lock cahnge. They are pretty outdated and you need to lock your door from outside. The bathrooms also need improvements,especially the bath tub screen door gets stuck with the newly installed sink.There seems to be more money spent on the decor outside of the room, than on the decor inside the room. There were very limited facilities both in the room and in the hotel in general . Nothing really. Staff is friendly and helpful.room too small. In spite of beeing recentely renovated, the barhroom is very uncomfortable (no shower curtain, leaking soap containers). The girl at the reception desk needs to rethink her career in customer service. She only just acknowledged me and only when I checked in - didn't bother to speak at any other time. Not someone who should be front of house. Most unpleasant. the promised wireless internet did not exist and also the price was way above the level of the room. Hotel is ugly and its interior has nothing to do with the photos on the website. Staff not very helpful. Extremely poor breakfast, even for French standards. Much too expensive!.
