  It was a delightful 5 night stay at a good price. Quaint village and beautiful hotel in quiet garden setting. Nice room though 3 stories of stairs to climb. Host and hostess were wonderful and so helpful though limited in English. Breakfast was delicious each morning and so enjoyable. Would stay there again! - This was a great B&B. Ryes is a very small country town in Normandy but it is central to all the D-Day sights (most are within 1 hour drive) and you can go to a nearby town on Gold Beach for great restaurants by the sea. The owner is very friendly and the rooms are well appointed.

  Carole and Eric made us extremely welcome. They are a warm, welcoming, friendly and delightful couple with an equally delightful daughter. They attended to our every need and were very knowledgeable of the surrounding area. The rooms are clean, breakfast is simple but wholesome and with as much as you like. The gardens are well kept and if the weather had been warmer it would have been wonderf - Intimate French setting. Being American, and wanting to experience a true feel of local France, we enjoyed the quiet remoteness of the location. The staff was very accommodating. Breakfast in the morning was very good, with homemade pastries, meats, cheeses, fruit and an array of beverages. Bathroom was large, almost larger than the room, with an area for hanging clothing and an in-room safe. Information regarding the surrounding area was provided in French and English.

  We absolutely loved the location. It was about 6 miles outside Bayeux and only 10-15 minute drive to Omaha Beach. The staff is very friendly, though a couple did not speak great English they made a point to help us out as much as possible. Mont St Michel is around an hour away by car and all the famous museums, beaches, monuments etc., are all within 20 minutes of this Bed and Br - Oh my, what a wonderful stay! If you are lucky enough to get a reservation, you will not be disappointed! Beautiful, large, clean, quiet, comfortable room. Wonderful host, whose home made French bread, croissants and apple turnovers are to die for! Lovely breakfast. Good internet connection. Lovely country location - between Bayeux and the Beaches of Normandy. Don't miss this chance to stay in a beautifully decorated country manor house. Pet friendly, too!

  Very welcoming and personable hosts. Nice location in the coutryside of Normandy. Comfortable room. Restaurants not nearby- probably 15-30 minute drive away- not a problem for us. The picture of a bed in a tiny nook crossed by a wooden beam looks questionable- spacewise- in reality- it's almost like a private room-within-a room-cozy! - Jean Claud... what people say » e and Karin were very friendly and hospitable.Loved the jeep ride and the horse back riding. They were very knowledgable and gave us maps and told us great places to visit. The breakfast was fabulous and Karin really went out of her way to provide food that our boys would enjoy.
