On arrival we were given an upgrade and it really made our stay extra special. The decor of the hotel is fantastic. The staff are highly professional and could not do enough for us during in our stay. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. It is the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed and the staff were truly wonderful. Saint James hotel Paris is my favourite hotel in the world.

We really apprecciated that hotel upgraded our suite to penthouse pavillion - exceptional 3-floor separatle standing building with great spa area inside. Service is great and professional, also consierge service. We liked that hotel being in the center is standing in a quite place. This hotel is for pleasure, relax, good mood. The location and design of the hotel is second to none. You feel "special" when you are residing at the Saint James. Recently, updated inside, however the old world charm you are looking for...Friendly, professional service. The location is in a residential area and is great for relaxing, yet a 30 - 40 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. Stay here, you will not be disappointed. The staff were extremely friendly and always available and willing to help with any questions. The hotel is exceptionally clean and the restaurant is just beautiful. We particularly the style of menu in the restaurant because it catered to all types of tastes. Breakfast was the best we had after travelling around France for 3 weeks, we rated it the best of them all!. The staff was terrific and very responsive to any request for assistance in making arrangements. The hotel itself is a beautiful historic building that looks like a classic French chateau, but it has all the modern conveniences. We stayed 10 days and were very happy. Plenty of bistros nearby. Everything was perfect. Impeccable service, beautifully decorated, outstanding in every way. Love the staff and attention to detail, went out of their way to make sure our daughter's wedding experience was perfect. Staying in a chateau in Paris was an amazing experience. The staff were very helpful and informative. My wife and I were upgraded to a suite and the dinner we had in the dining room was amazing. Quite a nice hotel, but after the Haymarket in London, something of a comedown from a service perspective. Nothing. Nothing. Clearly this is not a "budget" hotel and I do not mind spending money but do expect value. Whilst the breakfast was nice, I thought €35 a head was a little too much. In terms of location, I loved it because I wanted some peace at the start of my holiday. If you want to be "in the thick of things"' I would choose another hotel. We had a regular room; which was small but then Parisian hotel rooms are small and this was larger than most comparables. It was also at the top end of the price bracket. Thought the staff could of been a bit more friendly ...they seem to rush about a bit ( guessing they where busy) Samantha our waitress was a delight ....a friendly face when on holiday ,rather than a formal face is much appreciated ...but maybe it is the French way ...kiwis are so friendly ...... There was nothing we disliked. Bed not very comfortable. Living area couch a bit old and worn. Gym can be better but it is still good enough. Nothing ...loved it all. Bed slopped down the middle slightly. The two zebra heads in the lobby: it is a cruel and tasteless exibition. nothing. facility. Breakfast was poor value for money-all pre-prepared and we weren't offered any of the options on the menu. Waiting staff offhand and difficult to catch! Noisy airconditioning vent and not a particularly comfortable bed. Shower over the bath which I detest.
