Le Burgundy Hotel is a hidden gem in central Paris, worthy of its "5 Star" status. Mr. Jose Gonzalez and the entire Hotel staff were very friendly, helpful and pleasant, making our stay very special as we were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. The restaurant and bar were delightful. Its great location allows you to walk to the many of the sites, shops, museums, and restaurants in Paris within 15-20 minutes, with several Metro stops only 3-4 minutes away. We highly recommend the Le Burg.
all reviews » The hotel is superb. It's small and perfectly designed. Luxurious but not gaudy. Also the small feel of the hotel makes it feel so private and is such a refreshing change from the big business hotels that feel cold and generic. Rooms are comfortable and the hotel is so clean and fresh it looks like it was built only weeks ago. Location is in Madeleine just near the metro. Great restuarants and cafes in the area and very centrally located in Paris. Another big plus is the hotel is quiet, we slep. Excellent in every way apart from cost. Very nice spa/pool (not usual for centre of Paris) Their own fragrance range made the whole hotel smell really nice (not over powering though) Great location between 2 Metro stops and close to tourist attractions. Fixtures, fittings, bed linen, decor, staff, etc.... ALL a great example of a luxury hotel. Immaculately clean. The room was realy nice and the staff was friendly and qualified. they help us with a dinner, and found nice, modern and particular restaurant . Spa was very disappointing good clean basic facilities and pool.Poor staffing levels ,insufficient basic products ,no relaxation area. Surprisingly, there weren't any coffe or tea with a kettle in the rooms which is a standard in all 5 star hotels. Also the breakfast buffet was really really poor selections. We have ordered breakfast at the room the day before, and it came 30 min late and we were leaving to catch out train, we have booked a taxi also for a certain time, and they have forgotten to call for one. They were apologetic about it, but still it delayed our schedule. The breakfast was a bit of a dissapointment ,as there were no hot dishes,eggs ,bacon,etc ,not even proposed. There was a drain in the bathroom that sometimes emitted a strong sewer like odor. I opened the window daily to refresh the room. My fault for not speaking to staff about it. Normal rate for a superior room is 660 euro. Without breakfast. This is not cheap. The restaurant is so cold and the spa is so expensive. The sauna is not so good. Nothing, this was a great luxury hotel. I had to leave. nothing. Wi-Fy speed. There was nothing that we didn't like. Restaurant was overpriced and shower door leaked water out onto floor. The breakfast buffet was disappointing with very few selection. High meal prices, but that was expected. Steam room didn't work properly. The rooms were too small, the toilet was far too small. activities and meals/drinks way too expensive and to be avoided as excessively priced. Hotel would be better off discounting them as the usage percentage was low. Concierge not very knowledgeable and was somewhat less than friendly. We were woken up at 6am on a Sunday morning by window cleaners. No bidet or bAth tub Breakfast. Needs more choice in buffet. i was expecting the room to be bigger and the spa is very small. value for the money. Long wait for room service Waited a while for service in the spa. Very expensive. Very small hotel for a 5 star with a small lobby and exercise room. Room service after 10pm was poor (had to call multiple times and did not bring us plates with the food). Housekeeping could be improved. Had to call them most of the days for cleaning the room. Price of breakfast, but this a common disease in Paris hotels. Small lobby and gym. nothing. location hotel cancelation policy breakfast coast value. Pricy, not a good value for money. The stay was awful, the breakfast we ordered had a used jar of jam, the room service menu is non existent, and when asked for a chicken club sandwich 30 min after the closing time, they outright refused, and told me they didnt care if I rated it online. Horrible.
