This is a very nice place. I don't know why some people are complaining, for this price this hotel is definitely good!We booked a double room without bathroom but when we came to the hotel the guy from reception (very friendly person) gave us a room with a bathroom,without asking us to pay more. It was very nice from his side:) Also the place is convenient,just 2 minutes from the Subway station. The room was small but very clean! I recommend this place!.
all reviews » I'm a single traveler and only stayed here for one night. I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel and found it to be a great deal for the price. + Close to Metro + Close to convenience stores and cafe's + There is a small park within walking distance + The bathroom in my room looked like it was recently renovated and was small but clean + Wifi internet available in the room for a very reasonable price. The guy at reception didn't speak much English, but with my schoolboy French and his broken English we managed understand each other and have a laugh and he upgraded my room to an en suite room for free. Very much appreciated. The room was fairly small but comfortable, and the hotel was close to the metro. I like this hotel. It is in a very good location , staff is friendly, price is good, there is a supermarcet just round the corner , 30 min to the city centre, quite place, Highly recommended for budget people. The owner (Mokran) did his best to make my stay be comfortable. Although i booked sharing wc,he gave me a room with wc and shower. The hotel near from Metro station M2 (Colonil Fabien),then to heart of Paris. The staff were very nice to me. One of them didn't speak much English, but he was always very helpful. I found the room to be very comfortable. It was much larger than what I had expected for the price. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Clean, quiet, well located, close to trendy Belleville, café, Père Lachaise cemetery, République square, Buttes Chaumont... good sound isolation, large, well lit room, good value for money. For travellers on a tight budget, you won't do better than this. The hotel is a bit tired and weary but it is clean. For what I needed, this was exactly the right deal. The location was just ideal. The location was fine: just three minutes to go from the metro station, about 20 minutes to the cemetery Pere-Lachaise and not so very far from the city centre (although it is better to go by metro if you do not have a lot of time). It is ideal for Paris, since I needed a nice place to spend my night. this hotel is near The Gare de Nord and you can be in time for check in even after a late arrival to CDG airport. there is showers and toilets in some rooms. I bought wifi for a day, but I have to login every several hours, and the wifi forces you to watch an advertisement video every time. Not very well placed for the public transportation system. No free internet. Doors are without threshold so you hear when your neighbours come. No towels. Only one chair for 2 people. You could hear everything what's going on around your room. No place for luggage after check - out. No elevator, quite hassle if you stay at top floors. Wifi not free, some mobile device such as my iPhone can't connect to it's Metro Wifi. No elevator. They need to replace their beds. Shower, because it's bad for health to walk to it outside, especially when it's cold. And I'm used to wi-fi being free in hostels like this. Also it was a little colder than necessary in the room. Unfortunately, there is no elevator, so getting to your room can be a difficult task if you have a lot of heavy luggage. The lack of cleanliness (especially shower, wc) and a strange smell in a room. The walls were extremely thin and made it difficult to sleep at night in addition to the traffic on the road making it next to impossible. Closing the window made it extremely stuff as it cut off any source of ventilation. The wifi was also quite expensive and seems unreasonable having had to pay for it. The restaurant next door offers free wifi and if your room falls in the vicinity you can easily use that instead - which is unfair to the restaurant. Very compact space. You cannot imagine how small the bathroom is. Very basic; quite noisy on busy road; thin walls. The location seemed to be a bit dangerous at night. There're no ekevators in the hotel. You have to carry you baggage up to the second floor. The facilities need to be renovated. No lift so if you dont have a lot of bags and are physically fit, no prob's. Rooms are bit dirty, no lift, no internet. Rooms are not as seen in the pictures. There was some problem with our reservation and we had to pay more than our reservation confirmation said. Stuff didn't speak English very well, but it was possible to communicate. The room looked nothing like the pictures. Stair light out Feels a bit like a place you could hire by the hour. For those rooms that don't have a bathroom there is a toilet on each floor but the shower can be 3 floors away. There is a sink in the room. Be awere that this is not comfort place to spend romantic nights...rather just place to sleep. Old and dirty room. The cleaner should be sacked. Fortunately when complained we were given a cleaner room. There is no lift. There is no toilet seat in room #74. Shower is closed on 2nd floor. Very basic, had to pay for wifi for each individual device so would have had to pay 3 Euros for my iphone, 3 for my ipad, 3 for my boyfriends phone and 3 for his laptop. Because it was so expensive we just got wifi on my ipad as we were only staying 1 night. Trek up stairs to sixth floor.There were no lifts. noisy, not free wi-fi (and it's expensive), badly working door lock. shower seemed kinda dirty. no place to keep bags after check out. Problem with en suite - very very small sink topped by a glass shelf that stuck out too far to be able to comfortably brush teeth! Room was very sparse for the money. Went on to stay in Hotel Garda in Milan for same amount - no contest, no comparison, the Milan facilities were amazing. Bed was a bit strange - like sleeping on foam as it dented and it felt like it didn't 'breathe'. Shower wasn't working properly, shower cabin was too small, some wires seen in the walls, room needed some repairs, tap was leaking. Bed was hard, pillow (?) was u comfortable, room in the midst of renovatiosm, lack of soundprooofing.
