We stayed for one night in this hotel on our way to French Alps. The hotel was great, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Family room we stayed in was very spacious, clean, beds very comfortable and a fabulous view of the river. Breakfast was delicious and had a huge variety of food. Safe underground parking.The hotel was definitely worth every penny and we would come again! We would highly recommend this hotel.
all reviews » It was very good hotel; however, it had couple problems hopefully they fix them. First, the A/C (air conditioning) was very poor, the room by midnight would turn warm & humid. Second, the internet connection in the room was little weak. Beside these two problems everything looked excellent, very spacious and clean. I would rate them 8 out of 10. The rooms were very clean, very new, very spacious and well equipped, they are simply comparable to many and even better than some 5-Star hotel rooms I have stayed in. The entire hotel was very new; modern and clean. It is nice by the river side and I was able to easily find a free and quite safe parking just outside the hotel. The room and hotel condition is really good! Clean, spacious room and all modern-set (good internet connection). Have a fancy restaurant in the hotel. Very quite at night. The location is far from the city,yet easy to find out (get off the last stop at Gare de Vaise) and take bus 31 to get to the hotel (about 6 minutes). Every body is very nice and tries their best to help. The restaurant personnel is very knowledgeable and can help you to choose from the delicious italian food. The breakfast buffet is fabulous and the attendant a very nice and helpful person. Overall we love that hotel. Hotel was in a quiet location so was not crowded and although you use their car parking facilities we found plenty of free parking around the hotel. There was no toothpaste in the room, but you can buy it from the vending machines. The hotel is a bit too far from the city center, but the actual problem is that buses schedule are very off track (plus they run not so often). But you can have a 20 minute walk to the metro which is not very expensive (5 euros for a day pass and 2.5 for a normal trip - we actually used this also for the funicular to get at Notre-dame). Far outside the center of town. Nothing around it for food and drinks. Restaurant in hotel closes at 2pm and doesn't open until 7pm. Since there are no other options around, plan accordly. Nothing. Parking was a bit expensive at €11/day. We paid €10 extra each for the breakfast and it was only Continental. Couldn't see the hotel late at night and was driving around area, they should have a signage to guide visitors there. Finding it, it's not on sat nav. Even the locals didn't know it, we stumbled on it by accident. Nothing. The only problem is that the hotel is not close to the city centre but this gave us the opportunity to enjoy a taxi ride along the river. too far for the city centre to walk in with little ones but there is a metro stop about 10 mins away. It is a fair distance from the airport and does not have much in the way of nightlife near it. 11Eu for carpark. No complaints at all. nothing as regards hotel - very good but traffic congestion in Lyon was awful. Ok to stay if you have a car, as in the ( New ) business district, but not central. but than, Getting around the town centre by car was a NIGHTMARE, with roadworks EVERYWHERE. The female Receptionist in the mornings lacked warmth, but the man at night was charming and helpful. The city is a 10-15 minute drive away, but is not really a big problem at all. Location was a bit far from the city and the city construction made it impossible to get back to the hotel in less than 30 minutes. lots of road works but the results will enhance future visits especially when th new Museum is complete. The hotel is difficult to find, as the big sign on the building indicates only "Hotel", without "Lyon-ouest". Its difficult to find a free parking around the hotel. The bathroom in our room was beautiful but the door is made of glass and completely transparent. staff was a bit stiff upper lip. Bathroom could use updating. 15 eur for breakfast is a little too much. its a bit far from the city centre, a 20 minute walk to the metro station, and 4 stops to the old town. Hotel is very poorly sign posted. Drove past it twice, hotel lyon ouest is actally hotel lyon quest. There is no number or signage on the building other than "hotel". Main enterance look more like an office building. Only way l found was due to a card board cut out arrow attached to telephone pole. Nightmare in late evening. Hotel is a long way from old town lyon, situated in a business district,nothing around it. Garage door not working properly: you had to open it every time by hand. Breakfast buffet far overpriced with chf 24 (equal eu 15) for a 3-star hotel. Building badly marked at outside: although the gps said it is at your left we did not see it from outside, did continue and had to drive back, get out of car to look for hotel entrance. Location far away from centre with bad public transport to city center. need a car to arrive and there are lots of construction on the coming road. It is not convenient to access to city center of Lyon. Breakfast was very expensive. noisy lift. breakfest; internet.
