The price & the location. The hotel is in the very heart of Lyon, in the safest neighborhood you can find there. It's within a walking distance to everything that you need to see in the city: Vieux Lyon, Notre Dame de Fourviere, both the rivers. The personnel are very-very friendly, can speak a little English, are eager to answer all your questions and always smile at you. The room itself is rather clean and warm, the hot water is stable, basically if you only stay in your hotel at nights- .

The rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable, with the unusual bonus of proper hanging space for clothes, a full-length mirror and so on. The staff are friendly and helpful. Be ready for a bit of stair climbing. The lift starts on the first floor, so you have to carry your bags up a flight of stairs to get to it. And there are more stairs to the breakfast room in the basement. No shower curtain so bathroom floor got quite wet. Tiny lift, ok for us but not for anyone of any size with large bags! No mirror except in the bathroom, not ideal for 2 girls sharing a room. For the price, nothing!. Shower room may need to be enlarged or so, even being small for Asians... Rooms are a little tight. This is not the place to stay if you don't speak French - half of the staff only spoke French. The rooms are small, but this is a 2- star hotel. The room was a bit smaller than we expected. The lift only operates from the first floor up. The shower was extremely small and uncomfotable.
