  We had a very warm welcome , followed by help in parking our over height campervan right in front of the door. Our room was very comfortable and interestingly decorated. The dinnerwas excellent. Th - The medieval centre of Laon is spectacularly sited with magnificent views over the surrounding plat pays. The cathedral is one of the finest in Europe and there are many other town and church building from the 12th- 20th century of interest. The hotel was conveniently placed in the middle of the upper town within easy reach of all major sites.   Easy to find as it has its own entrance from the N2 on the outskirts of Laon. Plenty of parking available. Room was reasonably spacious. Very clean and comfortable. The best shower room ever. Beds are on the hard side so if you like that it's OK. Staff speak some English and are very helpful. Carrefour round the corner for supplies and cheap diese... what people say » l. Free wifi. - Well, it's an Ibis. What's different about this one? Nothing, and that's a good thing after a long road trip. The Winchester Grill attached to this one is ok, but doesn't open late, so if you tip up after 9pm your only choice will be the local McDonalds, or a €10 croque monsieur from the bar.

  Very old property. Ambience. Large rooms with brick/stone floors. Comfortable beds. Hosts charming and very helpful. Best for a stop over, we wish we had had two nights. Laon is not a place we had considered before. Lots of restaurants to choose from. Will go back to this property for our next stop over.   The hotel was not open until 16:00 but that is as described in the information supplied. I just forgot! Laon is a lovely place and it was a chance to stroll around and have a beer in the many bars and soak up a few rays. The desk was manned by a delightful and very helpful young man who could not have made us more welcome. T - This is a gem of a hotel. The proprietor, Matthieu ensures a very warm welcome and clearly has great pride in his hotel. The 18th Century building has been lovingly restored to retain all of its original features and provide an ambience that feels like time dilates as you step inside. Clean, well priced and charming, one of the most enchanting hotels I've ever stayed in
