The location of the hotel was excellent - only about 200 m from the main railway station in Copenhagen, which in turn has a very good link to the airport. Although near the station the hotel faces onto a relatively quiet residential street so it really was a good location. The room was compact but well designed and the bed comfortable. The staff were also very friendly. We had a very pleasant stay at the Ansgar. The room was clean, comfy and quiet, the reception staff were kind and helpful and we had an excellent breakfast with freshly baked bread. Another plus is the position -- a few steps away from the central station and just a quick walk from downtown. Highly recommended!.

The printer in the computer room was broken; we could not then check in online for our flight leaving Copenhagen so we had to be at the airport early. Rooms were a little small but adequate.Extra bed was not so much comfortable... No minibar. There was some maintenance work going on.IT was OK. cold water one day. I did'n like the carpet in our room. It was dirty. The rest was fine. room for 3 was a bit too small. weak wi fi signal. The internet connection did not work but the receptionist refused to believe me and was argumentative. I paid 49 DK as I did not have time t argue.In common with many hotels in Copenhagen the prices were a little on the high side for the facilties offered. The poor Sterling exchange rate did not help, of course. it is a little far from city centre - you should walk at least 15 mins to reach the Stroget and other interesting places. Close to red light district, can be a bit disturbed walking at night especially with young children otherwise no major problems. The hotel advertised free internet service. This free wireless service was not servicable, therefore requiring payment for internet service via the TV service.room for the food at breakfast buffet too small- crowdy.

Travelling information

Having left the customs at Kastrup Airport, continue straight ahead and below the clock you will find the DSN-office selling train tickets.
Adults one way charge DKK 21.00 to Copenhagen.
Trains leaves several times every hour and the ride takes 13 min. to Copenhagen Central Station. When you leave the train walk up the large steel staircase leading to Tietgensgade. Once you are on the street face the Central Station Building and then walk left down Tietgensgade about 180 meters to Colbjørnsensgade. Turn right and you will see the sign of Hotel Ansgar.
The walk should take approx. 3 - 4 minutes from the train station.
