  We were fortunate enough to be inivited to a friends wedding at the end of August and after researching the area though that Apartments Nivic would be a good location. We were wrong..it is a fantastic location. I cannot rate the accommodation highly enough but above that is the hospitality extended to us by Diana (the owner) and her family. Marco is an absolute wealth of knowledge on Dubrovnik - This is truly a home away from home. Located in the perfect part of town (near the Pile Gate) away from the noise and main tourist strip, the apartments have been lovingly renovated by owners Diana and Zdravko and are extremely tasteful and comfortable with quality features throughout. Diana had arranged for us to be collected from (and later returned to) the airport by nephew Marko who was instantly warm, friendly and knowledgeable.   Marija, the owner, was an amazing hostess. She made sure that we had everything we needed and gave us some good tips for sightseeing etc. It's very close to the bars and restaurants in Lapad and a very short bus ride away from the Old Town. We were able to arrange tranfers to and from the airport with Marija, which were all on time. I'd recommend ... what people say » this accomodation to anyone who's looking for something simple, clean and comfortable. - Highly recommended! The accommodation was spotlessly clean and modern. The location was fantastic. A short stroll to the seafront/ beach (no steps to get there so great for the pushchair), and restaurants. Excellent grocery store very close (perfect for fresh bread for breakfast). Marija was wonderful and made us feel so welcome and comfortable. Wish we had stayed here for our whole trip as the Old Town was close with transport.

  Loved our stay here! We actually cried when we had to leave! We booked a last minute night here, and didn't want to go to our scheduled hotel. The family who maintains the mansion could not have been warmer or more accommodating!
