  Staff were friendly and accommodating. The front desk clerk tried her best to communicate effectively in English and would use her dictionary to facilitate the process. For those traveling to Shanghai, I suggest learning a few key words and phrases in mandarin that could prove useful. Words such as deposit, bus fee, check-in, check-out, and so on ... what people say » would be to your advantage. A staff member also escorted me to my room took my bags. The room was very clean, neat, and spacious. - The staff were friendly and helpful and despite the lack english they organised bus to airport etc for me. The restaurant is good and open quite late.

  This is a great hotel to overnight between flights to and from Shanghai Pudong airport. I arranged - at short notice - for a (free) hotel pickup at the airport, and this worked perfectly; I also took the hotel bus - again gratis - back to the airport (c. 15 minutes) the next morning.   W stayed just one night in this gloriously comfortable hotel which was close to the airport for our onward flight. We ate vegetarian food in one of the private rooms in the Royal China restaurant and it was extraordinary and incredibly good value at £18 for several courses for both of us.
