When we arrived Christy Zheng greeted us. She was professional and covered off all the information we needed to know and sent us off to our room in an efficient manner. When we got to the room I found that it was clean and bed seemed nice as well as I noticed that the towels were newer. Later that day we asked Christy if we could move to a larger room as my son and wife and their son were going to join us and if we shared it would make it cheaper for them to stay as well. all reviews » good position , close to shops tourist attractions eating houses . quiet location . good value for money easy to find , plenty of free parking .nice size pool for families level 2 ideal for families as parking is on same level ,would also be good for wheelchair users at this level. Staff went out of their way to make my trip worry-free. Everybody was very friendly. Price was very affordable. I appreciated this, since it was my first trip away from my small town in five years, and I was a bit nervous. I would do it again, and I'm telling my friends. I loved the pool and the suana. The resturant food was increadable!! Really good. The staff was always ready to help with any thing and they were so friendly. I would use your facilities again if you deep cleand the rooms and carpets and move the smoking areas. Pleasurable customer service, quite clean, and decent rooms. For strong walkers, it is within walking distance to downtown, but its just a short bus ride downtown (for those without a car). Has a small pool and a self-start sauna in each shower room. The price, the location and the people who work. The room was quite ordinary, but there was nothing wrong with it and the bed was comfortable if not luxurious - the bedding was not exceptional but it was not rough either. I liked the staff as each person I encountered was helpful, friendly and interested in making my stay comfortable. Great manners, and quick service from the front desk to the cafe to the cleaning staff. Nice small suite room Fits 6 has a 2 queen size and a bed sofa in kitchen. 1 big flat screen tv in master bedroom 1 old bulky tv in kitchen bedsofa room.Pool big and warm and nice to swim around. Easy to find and a bit away from the more hectic downtown core. Rooms are comfortable but rather warm as we were there although it was not so hot outside. very inexpensive and dog friendly --we had my daughter's dog with us. Room was much bigger than expected and the kitchenette was a bonus. Helpful friendly staff. Good value' and located on the Galloping Goose trail that provides a lovely walk in to the centre of Victoria. I like this hotel as we have never had any problems wit bringing our children there and sometimes we have a lot of children. The fact that when we decided to stay a second night they honored the letsbookhotel.com rate that we had the first night. The room was well equipped, spacious, comfortable and clean. The swimming pool in the basement was a nice addition. Hotel was extremely clean, bed was wonderfully comfortable. Location is quite handy to shopping and down town area. Cheerful happy staff, always asking you about your day etc.. Loved my stay, will defiantly stay again. :). The staff were friendly the room was comfortable. Saying that I noticed that there was also a wok like pan that could have been used if i needed to fry something. a little jaded , but clean , we had a kitchenette and sometimes the tea towel wasn't replaced sometimes coffee wasn't replaced .little things that the staff need reminding about. The carpets were old and smelled and needed a deep clean. I could smell cig smoke in the hall and had to walk through it rght at the doors every day!! Very horrible smell!! The light switches were filthy! Please do a deep clean and move the smoking areas away from the doors and windows of your clients!! I couldn't open my window because I would get woke up in the middle of the night by some one smoking and the smoke drifting in my window!!. Few eating options nearby. But if you are spending your days in Victoria or elsewhere on the island, eating options near the hotel should not be so important. It was fine and I would come back as the prices were right and it is clean, safe and comfortable. This was our second stay. I don't have any complaints. No breakfast., Noisy outside. Not blaming hotel.. Thin walls.Suggest. Make the windows soundproof. Have a consuntaltant from Sweden They know how to isolate outside noise. The rooms on the right side overlook some kind of business that leaves a loud fan running from 7am til about 11pm, a bit irritating as it was otherwise quite quiet in the area.for this price, nothing to fault the accommodation. No breakfast . The so-called fitness room was tiny, poorly ventilated and too hot; of 5 machines 2 were broken and 2 weren't plugged in. I would have preferred to be told they don't have one rather than raise my expectations, which were then not met. Pub/Grill was a terrible place to eat. Service was extremely slow and food was overpriced, though when it did finally arrive it was very good. There was no information regarding the hotel facilities. We didn't know when the pool was open in the morning and if the restaurat was open for breakfast. The temperature of the water in the shower kept changing. At one point it almost burned our 5 yr old daughter. The hotel room was really warm and the AC unit didn't seem to be doing anything!. nothing to speak of. The My Grill Bar was very quiet on Sunday evening. The room I stayed in smelled stale but by turning on the fan it wasn't so bad. Hard to control the water temperature in the tub. one thin blanket and room chilly .( we never use hotel coverlets). no breakfast at this time. The pool was unclean so we weren't able to go for a swim. The bedroom window had no lock on it. It was on the 2nd floor but still accessible. The restaurant menu is very limited. a fridge would have been very helpful. the elevator made clanging sounds, made me nervous. They don't have locker. too much light shining through the curtains. Just missing some stuff that needed right away like toothbrush with toothpaste little things ...also quips and microwave and plastic spoon and fork.... Things that we can forget.... But we enjoyed out stay..... 6:30 am room next to us had a 45 minute phone conversation, and sounded like she was sitting right on our bed talking. Was to embarressed to even have a whispered conversation with my husband on our 2nd night and any hanky panky was out of the question as you could honestly here a quiet hiccup from rooms next to you. WiFi was a little week in my room, but the hotel had a technician come out and check. Nothing could be done due to location of router in relation to room. Not close to town. Noisy crowd on the parking lot at night from bar closing. There was a live band that played until midnight, it was quite loud Hotel welcomed long term guests, so there was a certain type of people there... Fridge in room would be great. Shower was terrible...freezing cold one moment and then hot scalding water the next. Plastic mattress covers are universally hated. If hotels use the (which I can understand their wanting to) then they should put a breathable cover over the plastic. Entrance and exit off the street, dangerous if there is traffic. No breakfast Very noisy bar / grill. my car was broken in twice causiung 200.oo$ damage!.
