The Gold club is amazing. The renovated rooms are on par with any modern hotel, without loosing the hotel´s classical look and feel. Staff is incredible. Very comfortable accommodations. Quiet for sleeping . Comfortable beds . Clean rooms . Friendly accommodating staff . Excellent food . Close to water and city activities . Interesting older hotel with lots of history . It was clean and comfortable. The location was very good and close to shopping and restaurants. The staff members were pleasant and helpful.

BR small in my room. Breakfast starts at 7am? Many business folks have meetings beginning then. It should start at 6:30 latest. No screen drapes and we were on a lower floor room. Bathroom was small. Tea was disproportionate to the quality. The sound of rain pouring from out window as the room was in 8th floor to the top!. At the time to pay their machine was not working and we had a little issue, then they charged double on the credit card. It was fixed but it took some time. BC fish and chips in the Bengal restaurant, batter old and hard, fish overcooked. hard to find your way around. Afternoon tea stops serving at 3:45. Charging for wifi is such a nickel and dime, opportunistic, cheesy, parasitic lack of class that does not match the elegance, food, service and amenities. Nothing. Restaurant options for young kids are limited. The room its self wanted two singles had to settle for king view was overlooking garbage/parking lot. Room wasn't ready until 1 1/2hrs after scheduled check in. No AC in Room Water damage causing Wall paper peeling in bathroom. No ventilation in bathroom/toilet. Pointed this out three times: nothing done and no feedback. 1960s plumbing. house keeping. Old and tired. Living on a reputation it no longer deserves, but still charging mega-prices. The bathroom sink was not clean, with hair and stains on the tap and in the sink. No free wireless internet Noisy room. The Room was the size of a closet. No Air Conditioning very old. No Ocean view. Very expensive and you also had to pay for parking. We have stayed at several other hotel's in the same area for less money and a far better suites with Ocean Views.
