  We were disappointed the first night that a few things weren't working (24 hr hot tub, our tv, and our coffee maker) however once we expressed our dismay, the staff worked quickly to rectify it and in the end our opinion was changed and it turned out to be an amazing experience.   The place was clean, tidy and very well organised. The staff were extremely accommodating and could not have done enough to help you ie the manager drove us to a pickup point for us to join our ski trip at 0700hrs in the morning as we had a lot of luggage. This was all part of the service according to him and he did it with a smile. Would have lov... what people say » ed to stay longer as the Hostel had a real nice feel about it. - The owners Gerald and Abbie live in the hostel and take extra care to keep a high standard of comfort, care and extra service. I prefer them over anything more ritzy but where the owner is never on site so you are neglected or just a number.

  The room was cute, had a small kitchen, and the building was very old and interesting. The location was nice and safe. We parked our car in the driveway of the hotel off street for free. The hotel is near some pretty parks and is only about a 25 minute bicycle ride into the main part of the city.   We arrived fairly late and had a bite to eat and a drink in the pub downstairs. Very friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Beds very comfortable and quiet during the night. We had been concerned about city noise but was very peaceful! Restaurant for breakfast was wonderful. Great food, service, price and decor Was just a night stay, but woul... what people say » d definitely stay there again and have recommended the restaurant to my family fwho live in Victoria. - I really liked how they stored my suitcase before check in so I could do my work and same thing after I checked out. I didn't have to pack my luggage to a business meeting. Also the convenience of the location being right downtown Victoria almost next to the museum and archives was a tremendous bonus. I liked how they put me in a room on the 14th floor which gave me the best views ever.
