  Friendly service, the manager is helpful and gives good tips on the region. The hostel is clean, the kitchen is huge and very well-equipped. A couple of little attentions are really appreciated, especially in a hostel (free Kraft dinners are available to accommodate guests arriving late, soap and shampoo in the bathrooms…) - Good location, upgrad... what people say » ed kitchen facilities, ensuite bathrooms.   friendliness and helpfulness of the staff - excellent customer service! - interested in their customers needs and opinions; very clean, good room setup, kitchen, fresh air!!!, secure parking, laundry room, even the floor -warm - I liked the fact the rooms had ammendies not often found in hotels. There was a fridge, microwave, and a double-burn... what people say » er. Good for budget-conscientious traveller.

  I like the ambiance it's very accommodating from staff down to the facilities that the hostel offered. I like the room it's nice and clean and also the bathroom it was well maintained. I like the fact that the hostel provides the paper towels and tissue roll unlike in calgary downtown Hi-hostel I like the shower room also there is a room where yo... what people say » u can put your things and it was so clean. The kitchen is nice and also the living room. I like the location also it is accessible to any shops, resta - I'm in my 40's and have never stayed at a hostel. Honestly thought I would "have to make the best of it" but wanted to try a new experience. Staff were very helpful and I met tons of friendly folks to chat and spend the evening with. I would actually chose this option in the future vs. Staying in a hotel if I'm by myself. Next time I'd bring along a bottle of wine to share in the common room! Great experience! :)

  My 83 year old mother and I were in Banff for my cousin's wedding at the Fairmont Hotel. We could not afford to stay at the Fairmont (even with a discounted room at $250 a night) and the y Mountain Lodge proved to be an excellent, economical choice for us. We came all the way from Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia for the weekend (yeah, I know that is a c... what people say » razy distance to travel for just the weekend, lol) and we were extremely pleased with the service along with the helpful and friendly staff! We would - Staff is very friendly. Great view out of the room window. Quiet place away from downtown.We could store our luggage on the check-out day. Complimentary internet. Free simple breakfast. Best value in town. Communal kitchen available.

  How friendly everyone was apart from one guy who didn't really seem to want to be there in the restaurant. The lodge is beautiful and has a fantastic atmosphere - It`s right in the middle of the mountains, so it`s very convenient for winter sports. It`s very convenient year round if you are an outdoor lover.

  It was awesome place to travel alone in Banff Rockies. I met lots of people and we shared our informations. Location also nice to get to the main street (actually it was in the main st). I loved staff and breakfast!!! hot cakes!!!! thank~` - Really nice staff, always helpful with everything. $6 dinners and cheap drinks.You can just sit at the bar... what people say » all night and mingle and Sean is a really nice guy as well (the bar man)

  My lifestyle never changes. I can't stand the choreographed and artificial style of those so-called 5 star hotels which in my opinion should be inhabited by clowns, politicians, and other pretenders who do not know what value for money is. At the Banff International Hostel nobody salutes or bows at me. At the Banff International yo - We had an awesome stay at this hostel! The staff was very very kind and as it seems not to be too busy at the time we were traveling, they even offered us a bigger room, including bathroom and kitchen, for the same price! It was like an apartment and we felt very very comfortable. Breakfast was continental but not too bad to start the day. It wasn't too loud but there were still some people to talk to in the evening.   I really appreciate the 2 ladies staff at the front desk they are awesome customer mania ( giving us an extra ordinary service ) as well all the staffs that works there they are friendly means all well trained peoples.   Staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help. Fantastic social atmosphere, we sat around a log fire every night. People may complain about the location being far from the town but if you ask me, being surrounded by wilderness up in the mountain is a perfect vacation. As for the 40 bed dorm... If youre that bothered... Get a private ro... what people say » om - I like the communal style living ,meeting fellow travelers and fellowshipping over meals ,conversations are always of interest .The location was quite beautifull nestled in the mountains .the indoor fireplace added to an already great memory and the staff where very approachable and helpfull .
