Being situated right at the Lake it almost felt like an all "inclusive Resort in Mexico" especially due to the perfect hot weather and having several Restaurants to choose from. There was no need for my husband and me to leave the Resort, especially since we only spend 2 nights. And to top the fun, we enjoyed ourselfs at the Casino. Enjoyed honeymoon here 20yrs ago so returned. Loved restaurant on water behind hotel. Only place we ate!! Service once again fantastic!! My husband wants to keep returning for future celebrations! Thank you!!!.
all reviews » We enjoy the Penticton resort because the staff is friendly, 3 restaurants on site, pool and beach have easy access and even a casino!!. Well maintained well engineered premises with thoughtful functional design. Great management produced friendly helpful employees. We love the location of the hotel. It is very clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Location, restaurant options, beachside and lakeside, food, room service, room layout. Nice location and the outside restaurant has good food & service. My room was quiet. The temperature was constant and comfortable. People very helpful and friendly. Location is good, on the lake. Clean, well equipped room. Very friendly, helpful staff. Quietness and everything was there that one needed. updated the rooms since we last stayed 6 years ago. Breakfast in the Hooded Merganser was nice. fabulous view, great casino, good food. Totally loved the view and ambiance. food, drink, views, balcony,beach. nice location on the beach. Noise of bar downstairs, staff member on the phone, shower head,. First time we have stayed there. The room was okay, but is somewhat dated,and not worth $280 (incl tax) We have stayed in hotels with nicer rooms and less cost. I thought the carpets were dirty and needed cleaning. It took a loooong time to get hot water for my morning shower. In fact I was beginning to think there was none. Beds not really comfortable. Shower head was horrible. Also very noisy with nightclub. Have stayed in beach and city view and it was very loud on both sides. No getting to sleep until nightclub closed. NO shower cap in the bathroom!. need package deals for up to 2 nights. Restaurant service on the pier was terrible , when complained the manager had attitude. This is the only reason I gave staff a "fair" rating. All other encounters with staff was excellent. Room was cold and by time we got heating figured out the heater was noisy all night and so we didn't get a good sleep. Room soundproofing could improve. Will ask for non pet top floor room next time. Otherwise excellent. Staff was amazing!. 1. Prices are a little on the high side. 2. Merganser Restaurant's terrible and loud music/singing, especially in the morning at breakfast time. Easy-listening music/singing should be played ... or NO MUSIC at all. facilities were not well kept for the price point (eg: rug was well past it's due date and in fact could be considered a tripping hazard) (eg2: the sink drain did not close fully indicating poor maintenance) (eg3: no wine glasses in the room (this is wine country which is obvious)) (eg4: the lights on the outside of the building are on all night which serves for good advertising but not for a guest needing good sleep). too noisy. Over priced Pillows. the service in the pub was terrible, items on the menu were not available, you could not even make a proper Chef salad, the excuse being you were out of eggs. You could not even make macaroni and cheese. Staff did not appear to care. The people who were with us who did not drink, had to share a tea pot of hot water, we had to ask for table settings, then pepper. Needless to say our tip reflected the service. It would have made a comedy skit, but we were not amused. The resturant/ bar had horrible service and did not get everything we ordered. Had to always ask for a drink refil. rooms not updated old bedspreads old carpet some cleanliness issues. stayed in unit 505 thought I smelt smoke---no smoking room??. Pool - a big disappointment - it wasn't clean and hot-tub out of order. Old table/chairs. Needed big paintjob but mural ok No wonder it was always empty when we stayed. not good value. no comment.
