Beds are clean and comfortable, its quiet. Parking with plug ins is included. The first night, there was a problem with the heat in my room (way too hot and couldn't turn it down). It was fixed by the time I returned to the room the next day. The staff was very friendly and the room was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. The location was great for me as I did most of my things in the west end of town this time.
all reviews » The pool area was fun. Can't usually find anything under $100 anymore but this was well under that and was a good value. Location was good for visiting the area and easy access to West Ed Mall. Staff very efficient and room was clean. We like that it is close & convenient to the Mall & meets our needs in the general area. Friendly helpful staff, clean rooms, was good value for my money at a convenient location. pool wasn't over crowded,water slides were fun, people were friendly. The watermark was great and it was close to west Edmonton mall. The bed - so very comfortable - best sleep in a long while. The travel lodge was perfect for out trip. No complaints. The beds are very comfortable and there are ample pillows (also comfortable). Front desk called our room upon arrival to ask if everything was alright. One of the better prices in the vicinity of West Edmonton Mall. Close to west Ed mall and other shopping facilities. Close to major routes, and shopping. Close to West Edmonton Mall. We enjoyed the waterslide. I enjoyed my entire stay. Bed was a little hard ,. I liked the waterslide. Great location. The price. Not much. The fact that the pool area has a larger hot tub and water slide is fantastic. Pet friendly. Fairly decent restaurant. I like the fact that it was very close to where I needed to be. The bed was comfortable and pillows were good. room service - cleaning was good. the pool and hot tub. Smittys restaurant. Truck parking. Room was quiet. Location. Location. nothing. The furniture was quite out dated and the headboard on the bed I chose to sleep in was very loose. The shower head really needed to have a good cleaning with CLR or be replaced as the water flow was not adjustable and only came out in the very middle of the head!. We stayed 4 days but halfway through our key cards stopped working so it was a little inconvenient to have to go back to front desk to get that fixed. There was a noticeable odour in the room, smells old. Not impressed with the amount of noise considering I had specifically asked for a quiet end of the hotel & some people don't seem to be able to read the *do not disturb* sign or have respect for other lodgers. Also was way too much chlorine in the hot tub !!. Water wasn't very hot in the showers, but could have been a temporary issue because of construction in the building. Construction itself was not a problem, didn't even notice it going on unless you walked past the area. Nothing. The elevator was somewhat out dated. The hotel needs updating. The carpets are gross and I didn't feel I could even take off my shoes. nothing bad to say. Hotel was very old and it showed its age in alot of ways. Totally outdated. No fridge, microwave etc in the rooms. rooms were not cleaned that well...child spilled popcorn by the side of the bed (just a bit) and it was there for all three nights we were there. I was right beside the elevator. Since it is a family hotel, it was noisy at night. Could not sit in hot tub, chlorine would burn everyone's eyes. Pool and slide water was freezing. Room was very small. Rooms need updating and feel a bit dingy, even though they are generally clean. In the morning, an encounter with an intoxicated patron who was persistent in wanting a ride to the mall, was somewhat off putting. Hall carpets need clean or replace. Outrageous mark up for a pet friendly room. Ten dollars more than any other hotel I've stayed in. Shower head leaks, alarm clock didn't work. The hotel was very noisy you could hear the elevator going up and down at night.The room was small,and the beds hard. It was completely overpriced for the room quality. no lounge to relax, enjoy a beverage and watch sports. Room got screwed up asked for a 2 bed room and only got a queen with a cot ,. the odd smell in the room and the front staff didn't give us full priority when we first checked in. He made sure to help out others and take calls while we were trying to just check in and get to our room at 11:30pm. We had a room with 2 double beds & it was extremely small!! It's the smallest hotel room I've ever seen! It was so small that one of the beds was against the wall!! I don't recommend this hotel!!. The smoke smell. This place is in need of a reno. Noisy and people up and down the halls talking loudly at all hours. Hotel is older. Although clean it needs a complete overhaul. For an extra $30 I could have stayed in a nice hotel. could not use the pool. The pool staff isn't a lifeguard. Hotel staff didn't address an issue we had with a situation at the pool. The room was rundown and had layers of paint and caulking to fix issues, the air conditioner sounded like it was about to seize. The room had no lighting other than 2 small lamps that had under powered bulbs. This hotel needs a serious makeover. It was the first time I stayed there and was not prepared mentally how nasty it was going to be. The dust on the base boards is disgusting. The box springs are all stained up like they have had bedbugs at some time. It was gross. I couldn't stay there any longer then I had to. Something in the room gave me a headache. Every morning I woke up with a headache, I haven't had a headache since. Found by accident my room was not locking, luckily nothing was missing. The pool was not clean at all I'm surprised that it hadn't been shutdown. This is an old motel that is really showing its age. I would not stay here again nor recommend it to anyone. very small room have to ask to paste , it was not in the room. I had to clean the fridge there was mold in and it wasn't running. also the power kept going off in are room.there was a short in the plugin also the garbage wasn't empted. they came the next day to fix never said were sorry or offered a discount or any thing.the tv was older and wouldn't change channels. Run down hotel, travel cot for baby was filthy, rooms where out dated and dirty. Pool had so much chlorine you could smell it on entry to the hotel. Do not go there with your kids.. No lounge/restraunt. Parking lot was a pothole disgrace. Room was very small. The pool and hot tub were dirty. The rooms needed serious updating. The staff at the restaurant were terrible. Dirty Bathroom Out to date. Only one package of coffee. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. Our booking which I had a copy of was for the 29th yet they did not show a booking. As it turned out, the wrong name was used. Used my surname as first name. Long time to check in and check out. how grungy it looked from the out side. place not cleaned to good. the rooms where clean though and beds where comfortable. the tv's where terible. the pool and hot tube where not cleaned to often. they had scum on outter edges of the pool and hot tub. you could scrub your finger on it and you could take dirt of the pool walls. that was grouse. pool needs to be maintained everyday. that one wasn't for shure. but the rooms where clean. thank you. it was an average stay. Our assigned room was not made up so we were reassigned a much smaller room with no fridge or microwave. Windows were dirty and the room smelled as though it had been smoked in. everything. We had booked a room for 4 people online and when we arrrived we had a room just for 2 people. First no cots which we had booked Elevator jumps around Pool seemed run down Staff seemed pleseant Room smelled Not up to Travelodge standards Stayed in many Travelodges but this one was not acceptable Sorry. The caroet was filthy , something sticky under the bed , bathroom fixtures loose and hanging , AC noisy and elevator was scarey .will never stay here again. Filthy carpets , double beds , small rooms , fuxtures loose and hanging, swimming pool had awhile bunch of hair floating in it , and the elevator was extremely rough.
