No one could visit and not appreciate the care and thought that has gone into the design and attention to detail, especially in the bay-facing rooms, with their balconies and spacious, comfortable rooms. This was a genuinely laid-back stay, with all needs catered for and a delicious breakfast freshly-prepared each morning... what people say » . We spent plenty of time in the pousada (guest house) simply relaxing in the huge lounge downstairs, with its paintings and shelves full of books. H - Love it, love it, love it.  You have to make this your base for Salvador.... Stunning place, really nicely decorated with every detail thought about. Super friendly staff full of lots of tips and hints about the town.  It is the love and attention they put into everything which shines through -  arranged a super friendly collection from the airport, welcomed with a fresh juice, room upgraded,  Great breakfast.thank u for a wonderful stay.

  The hotel is a wonderful example of a boutique hotel. The superior room has wonderful old wooden floors, and is dressed in a plush colonial fashion. The rest of the hotel is modern and clean but still hold the feel of intamcy of a grand house.   Received with best hospitality, we got two coconuts as a welcomedrink :) the room was very clean and nice, with ventilator and air cooling system. the room was very nicely decorated and for 150R$ everything (furniture etc) was of very good quality!!! we got coffee for free, and as i wanted to use internet, the dona didn t even let me pay, even if o... what people say » ne is supposed to. we had a nice talk with everyone of the pousada, from the dona to the empregada and they re very sympathic, calm, helpful and open - The staff is really friendly and the place is quite and relax.

We liked the location in the center of the old Salvador, it's easy and within walking distance of all interesting seeings. Great personal,, actually the European owners are so welcoming that you forget every negative detail about the city or your trip. They give the best advices, arrange airport transfer and nice chatting in many languages which you may not find in elsewhere in Salvador. They try to find solution for all special needs.

  The hotel is located very close to the main bus station (Rodoviaria) in Salvador and a big shopping mall. Therefore, the location is great if you need to connect to a bus. Otherwise, the area is rather ugly. The facilities are rather basic, but new and good quality for the price.

  WOW... After a looong trip from Morro de Sao Paulo what a pleasant surprise. Luciana welcomed us and checked us in quickly. Oceanfront suite was spectacular. Hot and cold water in the shower.   Extremely friendly hostel right in the heart of the Pelourinho. The facilities are certainly a bit spartan, but the staff are overly friendly, speak many languages, and they assist you and advise you on all matters. The pousada has a very nice covered courtyard with coffee tables, a hammoc, and a pool table, as well as a sunny terrace with rooftop... what people say » views. The rooms are very simple but spacious, clean and fresh. They also have fridges for keeping snacks or drinks. The view from the rooms is very - Location was excellent, in the heart of Pelhourhino. Even though accommodation reflected the historic nature of the buildings and area (basic and old fashioned) it added to the feel of being in an historic, authentic location. We had a room which adjoined a communal terrace with fantastic sea views and ideal for enjoying a late night drink.
