We liked everything about Le Meridien Bruxelles. It provided a comfortable base for our six days stay in Brussels and the location was absolutely perfect for us: right opposite the Central Station from where we took the train to Bruges and Den Haag, within five minutes walk of the beautiful main square and ten minutes walk of the Museum of Fine Arts. Staff were excellent, friendly and proffesional. Internet rate were reasonable for a 5 star hotel, 1st 3 hours free, then per minute up to 45 minutes then per day. Check in was quick in less than 5 minutes, check out was the same.

Since I took a special offer arrangement it was a very good service at relatively low cost for this quality of hotel. Its proximity to the railway station as this was necessary for ourneeds. We thought the breakfast in the hotel was too expensive and the foodseemed tasteless. We only ate breakfast once in the hotel because wefound a much more satisfying alternative around the corner. Internet use was too expensive, and there are no good Internet cafes in the neighborhood. This was the only problem.Found the prices in the bar a bit high. Dined there often anyway, but more often went out. no I loved it, we will definately go back there.Breakfast price a bit high. Internet was down for most of the stay. The Hotel worked the issue very hard, but the vendor took way too long to get it back up (24 Hours). They need a more reliable Internet Vendor.They hotel asked for an additional deposit for the in room movie system. OK. But then it didn't work. Nor could they make it work. And they didn't bother too much trying to make it work - disappointing for a 5 star hotel. Exorbitant prices for use of internet. -No remote control for TV and scale was broken. may be a litle smoking zone in the bar. Lack of foresight to clear snow and ice at the front of the hotel, making it extremely dangerous for persons walking into and out of the hotel. Some basic ammenities were missing from the room. Although advertised there was no coffee maker. We received a bottle of water only on the first day of our twelve day stay. A pleasant lounge area but prices very high (9euros for a 5oz glass of wine). Limited English language TV. No swimming pool. In general a pleasant hotel but clearly earning 4 rather than 5 stars. Except for smoking hotelrooms, there is no public smoking facility. Everything was good. Rather poor internet services; the dining room furniture is falling apart (this applies to a table leg at one breakfast, and a chair arm at another)! No trouser press service in room.surrounding area dirty with many beggars. brekfast is expensive. The lady at the reception was not too friendly. the dirty bathroom, the floor had not been washed for months, it had dirty spots all over.It was a little cold in the room although air conditioner was on. I paid EURO 29 for a full English breakfast I didn't have instead of the expected EURO 15 continental breakfast. Simply not very nice.Guests were clearly confused about their invoices when checking outs. Apparently rates are not very clear.my room was very small for this price as a double ,also the pice for the breakfast whihch wasn't inclutive in the price it was extremmly big. in the bath room was not bide. This did not rate as a 5 star hotel in our opinion even with the upgrade to a suite on our complaint. Brekky was average for a 5 star hotel.
