Beautiful décor (18th century furniture, paintings, wood panelling, ceramic, etc.), excellent location in the heart of Brussels (Grand Place, train station, etc.), quiet place, friendly hotel staff. The ambient of the hotel is unforgetable. Cinfortable, clean and nice sleeping. location and design. Sounds of Mozart. The hotel is very well situated near the Grand Place near a huge selection of restaurants and sights as well as transport. The hotel has a unique atmosphere and style.Very central location (walking distance from Central station and GrandPlace). Room and breakfast ok . Reasonable price. Very close to the centre and is an old buiding. Liked the decor. has a warm atmospere. The location is excellent, for its price this hotel offers an excellent value for money. The inside ambience is pleasant and the room is very nice.Very good location. Great location. Architecturally the hotel is a gem. It is only some 3 minutes walk to the Gare Centrale (main railway station) and a corner away from Grand'. Place (the main square). Restaurants of all types were also in the vicinity. A quaint hotel just off the Grand Place and only a few minutes walk from Gare Centrale. Decor.... interesting (a little overdone but that was part of of the hotel's charm).I like the ambiance. It's like you were living in a museum. The People, expecialy at the desk was very kind and helpfull. Excellent location - nearby all most important objects and facilities. Location. Very favorable location at the very centre of Brussels, near to the Central Railway Station.
Nice retro-style decoration of the interior. Nice interier.... Mixture between sort of Mughal stylee and Barockpaintings makes this hotel very cosy... quite enjoyed it, it is a very quirky place.Location was super. It was okay. The hotel was close to the center, it was well kept and the room was ok. Not exactly.Room is very small, very noisy outside and the color of the walls in the rooms is red which is not so nice for sleeping. interesting to walk through the hotel, feels like a museum, if a bit over the top. Location.location. location was best for the city main square and the train station and the hotel was very quirky. A lot of effort has gone into the accessories in this hotel for a visual perpsective. The room was beautifully quiet and the decor was interesting. the price is good. I felt that I stayed at Asian hotel.central location. Central location. Pfotos on site. place, environment. The location was great. The hotel is located at the center of the city, very close to Grand Place. Also it was very close to the Central Station where you can find train and metro. The staff was kind and helpful.Hotel's security system was good, monitored by cameras at different places. Interior looked interisting. Interesting decor, close to downtown and the grand place. There is not much choice for breakfast (orange juice, croissant, baguette, cheese) and it's not a buffet. There should be a small buffet with the mentioned items plus fruit, cereal and yoghurt. Of course that would mean an increase of the room rates, but that would be very much acceptable.Man at the reception desk could be more wellcomming. Breakfast should be a bit better. The shower cabin's doors were dirty. The receptionist was shouting to another staff member when I arrived. This lasted for 10 minutes before I obtained my key. Also the room wasn't ready untill 13:00. Staff should be relaxed and calm especially at reception. Also the breakfast was very limited. The breakfast was very poor - two pieces of bread, jam and one sliceof cheese.Sketchy breakfast. The noise outside the hotel was awful and spoilt it all. Loud music could be heard throughout the night, till 5.00a.m.! And it was only a weekday! When I thought there would be some respite, along came the truck cleaning services with further shouting. Perhaps the situation is better in winter. I suggest visitors wear ear plugs if they want to sleep. The breakfast was also rather meagre.Breakfast was very basic - just bread, croissant, jam and a slice of cheese with coffee and orange juice - already laid out on the tables when we eventually found the breakfast room. Obama posters everywhere - forgot to ask about that one. It would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Noisy. It was very loud tween the rooms. Hotel staff was a bit cold for my attitude. Paying at the checking in isalso not very pleasant thing...1- the lighting in the rooms was so 'atmospheric', it was impossible to read properly.
2- my room had no TV or radio
3- the breakfast was poor! (coffee so bitter it was undrinkable, no choice of food, croissants looked good but were obviously of poor quality. A buffet style breakfast with a bit of choice (eg boiled eggs, some cheese, etc) would have been much better. Breakfast. The rooms was a good size however, the bed was broken - meaning, the legs of the bed were broken after resting on it. Don´t really want to complain about it because I guess we get what we pay for. The bed frame should be functional though. I had not been told the room was a small loft with two floors. For me it was ok, but for others it could be a problem. Also, there was no TV or mini bar.
The area was very noisy at night and the staff at the reception was a bit too friendy.Rooms very small. location on a street with street vendors and nightclubs; monosyllabic staff. Shower broken. noise. It was very noisy, and the shower screen was a bit dirty. The heating was left on, we were unable to turn it off. We were let into a room without being told it had not yet been cleaned from the previous resident even though we arrived mid afternoon. The desk staff weren't the most helpful. The breakfast was basic to say the least. This was one of 11 hotels we stayed in on our trip and it was probably rated in our bottom 4. The bed: the bottom sheet was put straight onto a rubber mattress which was very hot and uncomfortable to sleep on. The shower: we couldn't get very hot water. It was very difficult to get any soap out of the dispenser by the sink. it is incredible to have the hotel 4 stars.there was no chair in the room. Noice until 5am in the morning.Bathroom and bed. It is in a very loud street with many restaurants and bars so it was very loud.Too hot - Could not turn the radiator off and too noisy - at the front of the hotel onto the main street. The heating was off in the room. No soap left neither in the shower. Choice at breakfast limited.too dark rooms. The photos at Internet seem very the different than the reality. It is extraordinary with its design at first sight but, very old and old fashion furnitures, lack of harmony in decoration, the bed clothes not so clean, dark room with a little natural light.Walls were so thin that you can easily hear the voices of neighbour rooms.Poor breakfast.it was cold at night and the radiator was out of order.Cleanliness, comfort,. No ventilation in rooms, not clean rooms, weird room design. Staff did not pass on a message left for me, I found about it by chance. Would not book a taxi for the following morning, hotel should not display election material. The coffee served for breakfast was cold.First room we were given was not cleaned after the last occupant. The second room had a sticky lock and the key bent when we tried to re-enter the room after midnight. Maintenance snapped the key fully off in the lock. We could not get at our bags or in the room for 12 hours. They did provide a third room but we waited till 1400 the next day to get in the second room. What a nightmare.
