Right next to the slopes of the Schmittenhöhe Ski Area, Landhotel Martha offers a quiet location with views of Lake Zell and the Alps. The Roman-style spa area includes a sauna and a hot tub. A ski bus stop is right outside. The bright, non-smoking rooms feature a balcony, cable TV, a refrigerator, and a bathroom with hairdryer. They offer views of the Schmittenhöhe Mountain or the lake. A playground and a farmhouse are available for children. WiFi access is available free of charge. A selection of snacks is available, and a dish of the day is prepared in the evening on request. From December 2016 on Hotel Martha offers an a lá carte restaurant to guests. The centre of Zell am See is about a 15-minute walk away. It can be reached in only 2 minutes by car or public bus. Free parking is available on site. From mid-May to mid-October, the Zell am See-Kaprun Card is included in the rate. This card offers many free benefits and discounts, including free use of local cable cars and buses.

Martha Hotel is ideal for skiers. You can end your ski day exactly at the back entrance of the hotel...putting your skis in a special closet and boots on a warm hanger to dry for next day. Breakfast was good, but the warm food (scrambled eggs and bacon everyday) could have some kind of variety. During the day there is no one in the hotel to attend to their customers. The room was small for a 4 star hotel (maybe 8 sq.M.) but we loved the balcony! The spa was very nice, but the jacuzzi should hav.

The reception in another place and not next to it, 5 min walk up the hill. The floors is wooden and whenever some one walk you will hear it. You can"t access internet from the room no 6 you have to stay in the reading area to get internet access Check in / out in other branch not in the same hotel. Location of check-in is to far from hotel. It is not so comfortable to get up for dinner (if you include dinner in price). turning off light during a shower, because the sensor could not catch any movement from the shower, the room smelled with wall mould. Walk up to the Hotel for registration. Very busy and noisy road. Disappointing. There are many much nicer places nearby, that are better to stay in. Reception not attended at any time. Very poor welcome, when I did eventually find someone they flatly denied I had any booking, despite my email confirmation being shown. A significant walk (20-30 mins) up steep hill from the town. We got a different room than we ordered. (2 times smaller, hidden somewhere in the basement) Staff was not willing to change it until the next day. Bed was broken. The hotel staff spent 3 hours to fix it. (8pm. - 11 pm). Hotel is too far from the city center - approx. 30 min walk up to the hill Reception is 10 minutes walk from the hotel - very inconvinient if you need to solve any problems.
