We stayed two days in a very pleasant hotel. Room was huge, very comfortable and very clean. Nice restaurant for dinner & rich Breakfast buffet. Above all, the couple’s running the place are extremely nice as can be and would do anything possible to please & help. The owner “insists” helping planning the days with a lot of patients & knowledge. I really cannot think of any objections or criticism. We've enjoyed our stay at Bürglstein very much and would recommend it to everybody ag.

Wolfgang even went out of his way to help us book tickets to the railway train & gave us recommendations on where to go on rainy days, which was much needed with a 2.5 yr old toddler in tow. Our room was very clean, cosy, modern and well-equipped. There was a good selection at that buffet breakfast as well as a big collection of toys in the children's corner which kept our toddler very happy. The owners are very nice people who made sure we enjoyed every aspect of our stay. The hotel is stunningly beautiful, very well decorated in a very nice mix of rustic and contemporary. The location of the hotel is very nice, just outside Sankt Wolfgang which provides with an extreme relaxing peace and quiet. Free WiFi everywhere! I loved it and for sure will be back whenever I return to the region. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always greeting us with a smile and handing out useful travel tips readily. Our room was spacious with the toilet in a separate room from the shower. There was even a kitchenette. Breakfast was yummy and filling, and the spread was good. Worth its price!. Very nice appartment, big, clean and nice sightseeing through window. Very near to lake ( 5 minuts by walk). Good breakfast! The boss couple are very friendly and helpful. As my check out in a rainy day, the boss has drived us to the nearest town bus statsaion. The friendliness efficiency and preparedness to do" the little extras".The room was spacious, clean and well equipped.I Cannot speak too highly of the wonderful holiday we enjoyed staying at the Burglstein.Managers Wolfgang and Carolin were most obliging.. Just everything! Our room was spacious and clean with nice view. The breakfast was home made and rich and the the staff very friendly and helpful and gave as a lot of useful tips. The hotel is situated next to a road, but thankfully it wasn't noisy. We wished we could have stayed longer!. Nothing. - the location isn't all that great - it's not in the village and it's right beside a busy road - we didn't really enjoy breakfast - it was ok but not great - they have almost no vegetarian dishes. Not a lot to do but hike and bike. N/A. I expected a larger room, looking at the photos and at the room rate.

Our restaurant serves traditional as well as lighter Mediterranean dishes. The standard menu is permanently adapted to include fresh seasonal products. There is also a wide choice of wines.

Information about the area

The hotel is 250 metres away from the shores of Lake Wolfgang, surrounded by the beautiful mountains of the Salzkammergut. The imperial city of Bad Ischl is only 12 km away, and the Mozart city of Salzburg only 40 km. Both cities can be reached by an hourly bus connection, and there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel. The hotel offers its own taxi and shuttle service to the train station and the airport.

Our apartments and rooms offer direct lake or mountain views. They are modernly furnished and feature soundproof windows. The apartments and rooms are non-smoking, but there are ashtrays on the balconies. The single rooms are between 20 and 30 m², the double and family rooms as well as the suites are between 30 and 50 m². Our guests can make use of a garden.
