Overall was really happy with the room - comfortable big bed, great shower and all the basic amenities I needed. Only a ten minute walk to the main shopping district but also a free bus directly out the door. I would definitely recommend getting a room with a balcony - it was perfect getting the warm sunshine coming through in the morning. Nice rooms with tv and general amenities. Furnishings and bedding are good and up to date. Restaurant serves good food and the staff are very pleasant. Reception staff are also very accommodating. This is my preferred hotel in Perth so far.
all reviews » Comfortable and very clean. Although our friend had lots of issues with her door always being left open by staff and power being cut off in her room. Manager did assist but not a good thing when you are a lady on your own. Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, good bathroom, helpful staff, good breakfast, good price. Central location, bus stop at the door. Night-time parking in the street (free); or parking station across the street. The location is very good if you are visiting Perth for a day or two, subject to my comments about parking. - Great location in the heart of the city. - Really helpful reception staff. - Clean, decent sized rooms. Unfortunately no secure parking for the hotel guests. There is a pay-parking section diagonal to the front of the hotel as well as street parking (roughly $3 an hour - if you can ever manage to find a spare spot on the one way road!), and although I was advised by the hotel receptionists that parking on the street on a Sunday required no ticket/payment, my vehicle was unfortunately issued with a fine within two hours of arrival. Terrible Internet system! Stayed before and still got the worst internet access I've come across. This is a good hotel ... why spoil it with such a rubbish system? Actual shower/baths and taps need refurbishing .... antiquated but the rest of the bathroom is fine. The Restaurant Staff seem to find everything an effort. Could not understand how if the menu is an everyday menu why things where always sold out ???????? please explain. The hotel has no parking, so if you have a car that will be an added expense and inconvenience. No parking. Reception staff recommend parking at the Wilson Carpark on Hay St and will help you book a bay. We booked this hotel on the understanding that it had parking (we had a hire car) and were told when we checked in that we could either park on the street or at the secure Wilson Carpark. Nothing. no secure parking. Travellers generally require wifi these days and there is no reason why this should be chargeable given the already cost of the room. Wi-fi free only15 minutes. Not much information in the room, no movie channels, room service meal was pretty average. I had to ring and ask for milk as they had not replaced them .saturday night had a shower had to ring for towels as they took them in the morning and didn't replace them either was quiet annoyed. Room and bathroom somewhat tired, stale smell in bar fridge. Brakfast needs improving for the money , need more extra egg options without extra costs , this is on the high value side for what was on offer,however what was on offer was good presentation. Nothing. It's quite far from the main streets, the food in the restaurant is ok but it would be nice to have some vegetables with each dish. The shower is fixed to the wall, it's too low for tall people like me. Lift was so slow. No parking. No hotwater for a short while. parking availability. Paying for parking. street parking. Noise in opposite room was unbearable. no shuttle bus. No microwave. Have stayed there a few times and on this occasion was told there was a $50 pre authorisation charge as I was checking in. Never charged before so was a bit surprised by this. Also only checked in five hours before checkout due to a delay so not sure what 'incidentals' were likely to occur in that time and being a solo traveller. The accommodation is a little run down. Bath area had mould on ceiling due to design of ventilation. Definitely not value for money. 1. Noise from front door opening and closing all night kept us awake (room 104) 2. No plug in the bath tub. No wifi. King room outdated, bedspread old, blanket too small, couldnt be tucked in. Bath poorly repainted, bathroom old & tired, carpet cheap, furniture and lighting outdated. 1.5% surcharge on bill at check out. Overpriced - poor value. Will not return to this hotel. The elevator sounds like it is due for some maintenance, and the gym equipment was broken. No one helped me up to my room with 2 children in a pram an luggage to carry..... The lift was extremely small and slow an only one was working.. only one lift. There was no parking available with the motel. Dirty bathroom.
