The Parmelia Hilton Perth was AMAZING!!!! It was defiantly one of the most classiest places i have ever stayed at. The service was really well done, staff were really helpful and in room service was spectacular! But the highlight was defiantly the bed! it was the most comfortable thing i have ever slept on! it was so soft that after we checked in we both fell asleep by accident as soon as we lay down for an hour. This hotel is highly recommended!.

Absolutely loved the bed and bedding, superbly comfortable, offered an upgrade on arrival and able to check in on arrival in Perth which was several hours before official check-in time, that was fantastic! room was cleaned beautifully and serviced in our absence, location was also perfect for our purposes. I like the staff there. Very friendly & helpful. Room are good and clean. Also we are given check out time up to 2pm even check out time is 11am. Though its a bit far down to the city but there is always free city bus to use. e.g. Blue Cat, Red Cat & Yellow Cat.. I would love to stay there again. Service is excellent, Adelphi cocktails are yummy! I thought the breakfast was very good, nice selection, chef did a great omelet and staff very attentive. Very handy to the Convention Centre. Shame our concert was changed. But my daughter and I would both book again especially with the good deals!!. I like the fact that the staff went above and beyond to make our stay an enjoyable one after there was a mishap with the tv in our original room, but they took too long to figure out what was wrong. But then our next room had the same problem for a little while but then it was rectified. We originally asked for late check out, then decided we didn't need it. We then changed our minds and requested it again yet staff were quite happy to fulfil this wish. I was very disappointed. I only chose to stay at the Hilton because they have a pool. I even requested a room near to the pool. I was allocated a room by the pool. All god so far..yes? The pool was out of use due to repairs. I chose the Parmelia Hilton as my first stop in Australia because I wanted somewhere really clean, comfortable and convenient while I was in 'straight off the plane' mode. I was not disappointed. Breakfast was wonderful!!. 1. The upgraded room given to us on arrival. 2. The excellent and helpful service given to us by the gentleman from Zimbabwe who was on the front desk...sorry we don't remember his name!!. Please pass on our compliments. The bar list had items eg. cashew nuts, other chocolate and different type of chip that wasnt in the bar. I had to walk around the city after midnight trying to find a shop. This took me about 1hrs to find. :-(. Nothing. No pool access and I only chose the hilton because they had a pool. The pool was out of use for 2 weeks including my stay. I had requested a room near the pool. I would have stayed by the ocean if I had been notified. It really changed everything for me and my daughter..I Told her to pack her bathers and she was really excited to have access to a pool after a 24 hour journey from the uk. Lift security that I assume is being improved as it seems to require only one person in the lift swiping their card then allowing everyone else access to all other floors. Leaving!. Didn't like the lack of sun in the pool area. Pillows were way too soft and gave us neck aches, but in hind sight we should have asked for different ones. Found the decor in the rooms a bit outdated. Could have done with a couple of chairs in the balcony. Some of the breakfast food on the room service menu was not up to standard. Very high cost of Valet parking. During the first night,my air condition didnt work. Then a staff came to fix it and then it could work but made quite loud noise. Since the hotel was all booked up, I got to change a room the second night. I didnt sleep very well during the first night because of the noise. And also, it takes a long time to wait for the lift. House keeping came at 8:30 one morning. Just a little bit too early when on holidays. Noisy airconditioner, $50 24-hour valet parking, $33 breakfast. The facility of the hotel is quite old. The room is very small. Nothing negative to say. Location from CBD - but all good. Nothing. Receptionist slightly overdid the hard sell (room upgrade, stay another night, neither of which we were interested in). Room, and bathroom, surprisingly small. Bath and shower taps confusing design. A lot of traffic noise. nothing. I needed to clean the bath before using. Party guests downstairs very noisy when outside on th e terrace. Aircon was switched off and had 2 call repair man...not sure why any hotel would switch of...room smallest iv ever stayed in...tall light didnt work guess needed new bulb, and bathroom sink had no pullthing to release water..i advised housekeeping of these.. Deco bit tired. Breakfast was expensive but didn't matter as loads of places to choose from. We were not advised that the swimming pool was not going to be operation and since we arrived on a 35 degree day it would have been nice to have a swim. maybe advising travellers of this would have been helpful even when we checked in we were not advised. none. Bathroom is a bit dated. Hair dryer had seen better days, lol. The bed was too soft, we are used to a more firmer bed and the pillow was too soft as well. Next time I will ask for a firmer bed and bring my own pillow. Taxis too and from the hotel were very very expensive and different for the same journey. *My towels were replaced every day of my 5 day stay, despite my indicating otherwise. *Room service menu was pricey and the quality of food did not match the price. I thought the parking was very expensive. Bathroom could perhaps do with updating. Non-valet parking. Noise from renovations. The steam venting fan in the bathroom did not work - a minor complaint. Noisy Bar. Room felt cramped, king size bed dwarfed the room. Would stay with the Queen size next time. Difficulty with key card in elevator. The grill was not value for money. Staff good but that was all. No lighting suitable for reading in bed.
