The bathroom was filthy and didn't look like it had been cleaned at all. Room was VERY run-down. Free wifi was available, but the signal was too weak to be of any use. The most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on!. it was cheap but the accommodation was very basic and tired looking. It felt like a hostel or a student room which is ok for the price. lack of cleanliness of entrance. Bed was not made on 2nd day so we made it on the third ourselves. teas, coffees sugars milk not renewed daily. Very old and rundown. Grimey and dirty - baby cockroaches everywhere! One bed had a broken leg and was a king single mattress on a single bed base. Other bed had the worse mattress ever - springs poking through! TV only went on black and white. Condom wrappers and filth under beds. Won't be staying there again. Would be great if given a major face lift. Not great value for money. Place is not that friendly when staying with kids. Most of the drunk people you will notice at or around the hotel location. Infact foul smoke smell was coming from hotel rooms. I will not recommend this place to anyone. very old furnishings and in need of refurbishment all over, wouldn't stay there again. Bed had springs poking through. The shower had hair stuck to the wall. The toilet bowl was filthy. these apartments are mostly rented to permanent tenants, not as a hotel. They are noisy and used by unsavoury characters. People running up and down the hallways at all hours of the night. The apartments themselves are dirty and ill equipped. The number of things that really shouldn't have been wrong when I walked into the room. For example: Blind pulley broken - I fixed. Sink blocked - plumber attended to next evening. Bathroom light not working - I replaced bulb Matted hair in shower plug hole - I removed Cups, dishes, cutlery dirty Wrong turntable in Microwave Light bulb missing in kitchen area Etc. The place was poorly maintained and needed a good clean. Some guests were alcohol/drug affected and very noisy with poor language skills. Cockroaches x5 on the food bench. Dirty bathroom that reeked of cigarettes. Dirty corridor floors. Main door didn't close! Only one cup for two people. No electric blanket or any heating. Everything just old & tired. We carried heavy luggage, stroller and a baby but we were assigned to the 3rd floor without lift. The condition of the room (303) hardly matched what was shown in the profile. We had to cancel the remaining days in the hotel and find another one as a result. Very dated, grubby and well overdue for a refit. This is not a holiday apartment block, but a collection of units some of which are tenanted, some owner occupied, some available through Bookings. Our room was a dump. Some very strange people live in this block - it could easily be a half-way house. Screaming in the early hours occurred, and a very strange resident woke us up at 6.00am demanding to see the manager because he had been electrocuted! I never want to see this place again. Old furnitures, some are even broken. I would not have paid as much as they priced their accomodations. I will not stay there again. Stains on the bed cover and carpets. Rear exit door being kept open which allowed a male person to knock on our door at 2.30am. Killed 2 cockroaches. Dirty, old ,toilet filthy, tired needing updating , kitchenette dirty and cupboards falling off. It smelt and had very dodgy characters staying there or hanging around the front. There was a breakin on one night and the pictures on the interenet didn't reflect how it looked in real life. Bed Restroom, room not clean. Smoke detector broken. Kettle and toaster filthy. Rust in shower alcove. Dust in room. Staff did not know where shops were nearby (Chapel St). Filthy dump with dirt caked on pipes, dilapidated furniture and fittings, stained carpets, dodgy electrical appliances etc. Believe it's main purpose to be cheap permanent hostel-type accommodation for those down on their luck. The entire building stank of smoke when you walked through the front door. We found a syringe at our room door. Shower had no water pressure. Room was filthy. Absolutely disgusting and i wouldn't recommend to anyone on any budget. Dirty,cockroaches,noisy. Disgustingly dirty rooms. Cockroaches everywhere. Heating did not work. Had to leave. No comminication. Stinking cigarette smell, awoken throughout night by people pressing door buzzers. hygiene of sanitary and kitchenette was poor. towels were washed, but not clean no air condition, only fan. 1.Basic facilities were not working. 2.staff not even aware of it. 3.hygienically very unsatisfactory,seen small cockroaches inside the linen. 4.microwaves not working 5.stove not working. 6.no lifts inside the facility,no ramps,just stairs,not good for the back. 7.worst ever experience with bookings.com never expected it. Roaches in kitchen drawers. Evidence of door beong kicked through. Stale smell of rooms. Originally booked for 2 nights. Checked out same day. Able to get refund for 2nd night but not the 1st. By far the worst hotel ive ever booled. the room was discusting, filthy, smashed glass in shower door. cigarette burns in blanket. holes in carpet on floor, blind did not work on window. never stay again. should have a visit from health inspector.
