I loved every part of our stay, the location was excellent with so many options for meals the room was spotless & very comfortable & staff very helpful my daughter loved the pool & shopping in the many shops just a lift ride away. Will defiantly stay at the Crown Metrapol again. Thank you. We stayed in loft room, where my now fiance proposed very romantic. Staff did everything and made it a night to remember!!! flowers champane everything!! Awesome views of the city, very comfortable beds!!! Bar 28 had the best vibe, and by far worth the extra price for VIP access!!!.

The bed and bedding was amazing, the design of room was modern and sleek. It's location was perfectly located in te cbd. The foyer was perfumed and was beautiful justan amazing place to stay even my view of a carpark didn't bother me. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Crown Metropol. Some of our favourite facilities were the magnificent pool, the spa, the sauna, the game arcade, the restaurants and of course the shopping.We didn't even leave the complex !!!. The room was well set out and the ensuite was excellent. The bed was comfortable and the decor was tasteful. It was nice to have a late checkout. Great shopping, restaurants and entertainment all in close proximity to hotel. We were greeted very well by a delightful guy at the valet parking. He was warm, friendly and had some great tips and advice. The room was awesome and we were very impressed with the complimentary drinks for our anniversary. Lots of things. From 7 lifts, so that you didn't have to wait long, motorised drapes that blocked the morning sun so well, to the very comfortable beds & pillows. Also, the "details" like the travel adaptor plug. Room & facilities were great but the location is the reason we stay there. We could stay go to restaurants, try our luck at the casino & even do a bit of shopping without stepping foot outside into the cold. I really could not say anything bad about my stay at all. Directions to the hotel. Each Crown Hotel needs signs so you drive directly to correct entrance. Had lunch at Hive, lovely food but portions small and we're not big eaters. Also great wine list but you need to have a couple of wines at sensible prices. 10Pm closing of Sky Bar a little early. They took a deposit off my credit card $200 which I didn't realise and it was all I had. I thought they were only taking the card number in case. It ruined my stay in Melbourne and left me missing out on outings with friends. It was really disappointing that after paying so much money for our accommodation, toothbrushes were extra as they were not part of the amenity kit. Nothing we didn't like. Our baggage didn't come to the room as expected, but one simple phone call and it was there in minutes. With the "minimalist" decor, came minimal signage. Trying to locate where the lifts were, was some times a challenge. The cost of valet parking is very high and the room rates can be very pricy compared to other hotels. that I had to go home & leave those amazing pillows behind!. Nothing. went down for dinner and told half hour wait; hostess did not attempt to offer suggestions of drink, wait, etc. just walked away! this is the only time service faltered. Breakfast was not included. Parking not always included. Nothing I didn't like!. Offered an upgrade on arrival for $45.00 but failed to mention "per night". Being encouraged to book all restaurants etc back to the room then being slogged for paying by credit card. As I pointed out to them, most (if not all) upmarket restaurants do not charge a fee for credit card payment. Also, they debited our card $8.00 a couple of days after checkout. We did not use the mini bar, so still haven't been advised what this fee was for. Room had no balcony Bottle opener ??. Found there were quite a few kids in the main spa/pool area being quite noisy and splashing which was a little irritating. There was nothing that I didn't like. not quite enough water pressure in the shower. wasn't anything I didn't like, we were only there for one night so didn't really get to experience much. Nothing. Booking a taxi was a hassel. bar 28 was booked on Saturday night wasnt able to use it during my stay. Breakfast is too expensive. Loved it all!!!. Room service expensive $$$ WiFi not included. -the room service menu was very limited, no variety -the quality of food wasn't great -the water pressure in shower was way too light, made it hard to wash my hair. Passage ways from lifts to room were a little dark. Needed more light in the bathroom. Very hard to do your makeup in poor light. Bed a bit too firm. Maybe better directions on the lifts haha. The delux king room wasnt as OTT for the money as i taught it was going to be. Expected more for a 5star room for that kind of money. No complaints. Nothing. Not so much a criticism but a comment.... if you want shopping and the theatre then there are other good hotels that are more suitable. The bed! Hardest bed in a 5 star hotel ever!!!!! Sorry, for that reason alone, we both felt we could not return. paying fee for using credit card and charging $100 a night in advance to cover expenses. 500 AUD per night but no bath can relax. wasnt anything to dislike. I found it hard to follow what was in metropol and what was located close to the casino and it is so big with many levels it is not that easy to identify. Room service ie breakfast quite expensive.
