The price was very good. For $59, I got a very stylish, comfy, good sized single room with plasma TV and my own ensuite and bath. With a bit of TV angling I could even watch it from my own bubble bath - talk about luxury! The hotel has been recently refurbished and is very stylish. It's close enough to town to walk to a number of restaurants for dinner. Staff are very friendly. I also stayed in the ageing Batman Faulkner for about the same price, but the Centennial is leagues ahead.

Easy to find, clean, comfortable, parking at rear of hotel. We had the family room which had a lounge area and two separate bedrooms. All the rooms were very spacious. Good basic accomodation, convenient location and reasonable rates. Helpful staff - they even contacted me after I left and posted back an article I had left behind. The price was excellent. We had the apartment and the rooms were huge. Everything was very clean and being able to go downstairs for a lovely meal was great. O did three days and in the three days no one showed up to make my room, when I needed someone to put the heater on once delayed on program, I could not access the service. Cheap but new room furniture. Price. It is on a main road, but with the fan on, I didn't have a problem. Unfortunately the reception area was dingey and staircase dark. No airconditioning Never saw any staff whatsoever, which wasn't a real problem, but had to ring to verify how we got in after hours, said they would email, but they didn't, so had to ring again. Its only a small thing, but limited surface space for one's personal articles, I.E. a small table or desk and chair in the rooms would make rooms more convenient. Not being able to have breakfast downstairs. Traffic noise at night but to be expected as Hotel is situated on a busy main street. Unfortunately the bed sunk in, but that could have only been our room. Perhaps something like a "snake" to seal in draughts(only in winter). The road was a little noisy but we are not used to noise at night time. No real staff or amenities on site. 1. Room was very cold, no heating except a fan heater that was useless. Given that it was winter, I think it certainly should have had better heating. Even an electric blanket would have been good. 2. Room faced the road and was extremely noisy during the night.. There was only one hiccup (alltough it was my fault for not taking my key) when I went out for a while. When I arrived back at approx 4.30 p.m. the door was locked and no one in the reception, the sign on the door read "Reception open from 1.00 till 6.00 p.m." I had to make a phone call and wait for someone to unlock the door. nothing major just a little inconvenient because I was in a hurry to get changed to go out again. Wish I was able to use the bathtub. all ok. the small bathroom and the walls you could hear the person in the next room through. all good. Bed was bowed in the middle very uncomfortable especially because I'm pregnant. Our coffee and milk wasn't replenished one day and no hand towel one day. Shower felt like little needles. No lift if you have luggage. Very noisy room facing he main road - car/truck noise all night. Bedside light was not working Broken latch on wardrobe door. It was freezing. Which is why I answered that comfort was poor. I will not stay there again as it is so cold in winter and the hearing is nowhere near good enough. the double room was a bit small. We were tripping over all of our stuff. Room was far to small for two people. Poor heating. Bathroom sink was in the room when it should have been in the bathroom, if there had been room for it. the street was too noisy whole night, Can not sleep well.and have to wake up early. Was a bit noisey and lounge chair had bisciuts under cushion so wasnt cleaned very well from last people. Had three friends stay with me and was told we couldnt use the single bed in one of the rooms unless we payed an extra 30 dollars wasnt told this when we booked. One freind wasnt well and didnt wont to sleep with anyone so wasnt happy.Was a little bit noisey on friday night but other than that was good. The standard and comfort. No shampoo or conditioner provided. No microwave & no dining facilities. Did not like bed near wall. Heating inadequate ,small electric heater no instructions. No electric blankets. Bedside light didn't work, thin bath towels. The room was absolutely freezing as was the bed. Every other hotel in Launceston has electric blankets. I found my stay very unpleasant because it was so cold. The bathroom should have been refurbished to a better standard. I am sure the grout has been there for more than 40 years. Disappointing!!!!!!.
