I loved every second of being there but the best thing about my time up at the Q1 was a certain staff member. Kevin he made me feel welcome from the moment I checked and was great and really friendly, and he gave me the best service and I went back down to the lobby after I had a swim and just got to talk with him. He is the reason I will definitely going back and recommending the Q1 to my friends. But all the staff were really great and the pool was awesome to.

Not mention our view from level 53 was SUPERB! Words cannot even describe! Thank you, to all the staff for making us feel at home:). Three Bedroom Sub-Penthouse has the best of everything - amazing views, very spacious, private, comfortable, the large kitchen & dinning is set out perfectly. Location is set almost on the beach with Surfers mall only a three minute walk. This is now the only place we will stay on the coast. ***Amazing***. First impressions - walking into the room had a wow factor and we immediately knew it was a great choice. The location was great, fantastic views, staff were friendly, huge rooms, easy parking. We had divided our holiday up and on reflection we should have stayed at Q1 longer. Thanks for the great stay. I loved the big spa bath and the sunning sunrise over the ocean in the mornig which we could watch form bed. The location is brilliant too! So close to the beach and everything. We where on the 13th floor so we had some buildings blocking parts of our view but it was still reallt nice. Very spacious and well maintained. Reception staff were extremely helpful and went beyond expectations to rectify problems that were not of their making such as delayed shuttle buses etc and ensuring that our stay was a hassle free as possible. No doubt we would stay there again. The 2 bedrooms apartment is well designed and comfortable. I love the sea view at the living area as well as the river view at the bedroom. It is very spacious and clean. The kitchen is modern and well equipped. I like the bathroom with the bath tub over looking the river. Staff were very pleasant, made my partner and I feel most welcome. It was a spur of the moment decision to stay there but once again the staff were only to happy to accommodate us. Excellent location & views along Surfer's Paradise beach Large windows that appeared dirty but when I realised they opened provided excellent views & air comfort. Lovely swimming pool & surrounds. Room amenities were v good. We stayed in the ocean view Spa apartment on the 41st floor. The apartment was spacious, had very well done interiors, excellent view of the ocean from all sides, good facilities. It was very relaxing staying with the family. Loved the suite, the views, the kitchen and the spa bath that overlooked the Gold Coast. The pool was perfect for my young family. Very close to restaurants, beach, theme parks. Love love love!!!! So affordable too. The facilities were amazing and the rooms and the view from the rooms where stunning. Staff were friendly yet we asked for help with the microwave as it was not working properly and we did not receive assistance. The three bedroom apartment was set out beautifully and certainly had the 'wow' factor. We liked the pool facilities and loved the day spa. The views were awesome. I only had a couple of days there, but really enjoyed the short distance to the beach, the many dining areas. I enjoyed the experience of the lookout from the tower. The only issue i had was our lift pass wouldn't work to go up to our level. They had to restore it 5 times, i did count lol. Also it was our first time staying at q1 and coming up from basement two, we accidentally got the service lift (we did follow the signs) and one of the workers was really rude to us. We did let reception know and they did everything they could to make it better, so thank you!. That we couldn't stay longer. We stayed in 4807, not sure if all the main bathroom layouts are like that but the window thing is not something we would live with. We only ate in once together as a family and that was the last days breakfast. Not really a dislike but there were only 2 forks. Our DVD player was broken - that all. The bed is too soft. Looking straight into Peninsular hotel rooms & vice versa. Only realised solarium windows opened on the last day Very bright with sun coming past blinds first thing in a.m. Bathroom floor was slippery. Since it was a serviced apt, apart from just getting clean towels everyday it would have been better if it was also cleaned every day rather than cleaned after 3 days. Since there was a washing machine available, getting only fresh towels was not a problem, so it did not make sense paying extra for a serviced apt. Nothing!!!. The lounge chairs in our apartment were not comfortable. The ironing board was dodgy. The hairdryer latched on to a piece of my hair and I had to cut it out. I told reception and they said maintenance would check it but nothing happened. I didn't use the hairdryer again!. A lady with blue eyeshadow at the reception had bit dry attitude. front door did not stay open for bringing in luggage etc. bed room two didnt have a tv for the kids. Towels are like in the cheapest motel. Furniture uncomfortable, except the bed (this time), but common you not comm to the Gold Coast to seat in the room :). Didn't stay long enough to not like anything. For a resort of this quality the apartment cleanliness and finishings were poor. Dirt under the glass on the table, and general cleanliness was not great. No one checked the booking notes, in which I requested a double bed in each room. A couple of maintenance issues (which were reported to reception). Apartment is showing signs of wear and tear. The resort is a non smoking resort - unable to smoke on your balcony at all - had to go down in the lifts to the ground floor. Lounge had some wear and tear Sun very bright in the morning due to east west facing room and blinds tended to be noisy flapping against the windows when air con was on. Transparent window in bathroom to bedroom, ok if you and your partner don't care about privacy but we do. Ocean view was not really ocean view from bedroom like it was advertised,. No free Wifi. The coffee table wasnt wiped down before our arrival. We had booked a sea side room. when we got there we got a room on the otherside of the building. We did get it sorted out right away and the staff were very helpfull with that. The bath took 40mins to get water above the jets. Nothing! This is the third year in a row we've stayed here for the Gold Coast marathon and we will continue to come back. The room is too big. My partner left me alone. I was scared. That we had to pay $3 for a towel for the pool - we ended up just using our room towel !!!!. Cot for baby seemed dirty? Not the sheets but the top of the material on the sides. There was nothing to dislike. Having to leave!. The refuse chute stunk and filled the hallway with a fowl smell which at times was overpowering. No free wifi. Blinds banging against the window sills when air con is used at night. wifi wasn't free. bought wifi for 24 hrs, internet went down for half my stay which was inconvenient. I like to cook when Im away thats why I booked an Apartment, the Pans were old, burnt and terrible. And werent even non stick. Made cooking almost impossible. Even if you had non stick pans, even the amateurs wouldnt burn the pans like the ones I had to use. Although we were in a non-smoking room it smelt of smoke when we first walked it which was highly un pleasant. The spa did not work and lack of communication between cleaners and reception.. as i had organised late check out but cleaner came at 10am. Thought cleaners should've done a better job! No where upstairs for partner to smoke. No bar inside hotel except for upstairs at sky level so you couldn't just relax with a drink. Nothing.
