I loved the room and facilities. Our 2 bedroom apartment was very well equipped. I found staying in it very relaxing. The pool facilities at the hotel were great but we choose to walk across the road and use the pool at the Rydges resort as it was a bit more tropical and resort like! The staff were fantastic and very helpful at all times. Although we didn't end up using them the shuttle buses to the airport and Mindel Beach market were great.
all reviews » Responded well to their error in the booking they accommodated my husband and son in the Rydges Resort when they gave away the hotel booking in error and found they had no vacancies in the hotel. Arrived at 1am to an efficient receptionist who even managed to get me a bucket of ice even with the bar closed. Breakfast was also of a high standard. Free transfers were fast and efficient. I liked the location, close to TIO stadium, the rooms were modern, comfortable and very clean.The rooms were made up every day, and the seafood chinese restaurant was fantastic. facilities were good staff friendly and responsive and everything pool restaurant rooms are all in the same complex and all first rate. Convenient location right next to airport. Lots of car parking. Friendly staff. Excellent facilities. On-site convenient shop. Pick up drivers attitude was arrogant. No wifi. The tv didn't work, and I wasn't offered any compensation. This was an expensive hotel, and I was surprised by what I got. It was not good value for the money. It was also very dusty and looked like it hadn't been dusted for months. I will be back in Darwin on business, but I don't know if I would stay there again. bedspreads were a little old and worn. Expensive Room for size Very expensive Menu Basic hospitality. Sheets had stains on them. Value. I have stayed in 4 star accomodation that far outways your alleged 4 stars I.e the Croc is far better value than you. Dirty sheets. Can't believe that for $320 per night that I could not even get free to air tv and the minimal channels available poor reception. In a hotel where there is not much to do in the immediate area I find this appalling. Secondly there was no temperature gauge for a/c so when it was on you were freezing and when off stuffy and hot. pool dirty internet one month ago free now charged at high price not notified of this change. cockroaches, mouldy bread, poor facilities for the function we held. Broken shower, slow disinterested staff members (not all). Not gay friendly; got the drill who my partner was or wasn'T. Decided for us that we would prefer a single bed each when we requested a superior twin room. Did not get the room I booked for the room smelt musty it was a three bedroom single room , designed for a person with a physical disabilty.
