Cradle Mountain Wilderness Village offers self-contained accommodation, nestled in a rainforest setting with native wildlife throughout the property. Cradle Mountain Village is located in a secluded setting on the edge of the World Heritage-listed Cradle Mountain/Lake St Clair National Park. It is just a 5-minute walk to the Visitor Centre and 10 minutes’ drive to the start of the Overland Track. All cottages include a well-equipped kitchenette, dining area, lounge area and bathroom. Each is fully insulated with double glazed windows and electric heating. Car parking at the door is provided. Cradle Mountain Wilderness Village features an outdoor BBQ area, guest laundry and tour desk for your convenience. The guest lounge has a well-stocked DVD library as well as an area for children to play. Hellyers restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday and offers a selection of small plates designed to share with family or friends. Dishes are all made to order and contain fresh seasonal produce, which can be accompanied by locally produced wine or beer.

The feeling of relaxation you get in the cabin was astounding, could almost feel the stress leave my body. The cabin was warm on arrival and right through the night (2 degrees and below external night temps!) The kitchenette and bathroom facilities were great. Its on the same road and close by the major attractions. Although there's no onsite restaurant there's a choice of 3 or more places within minutes drive and the two we tried were excellent quality/value. We saw wild wombats and would high.

The spa is awesome, the gas fireplace makes makes the place really cosy, access to the beautiful Cradle Mountain national park was very easy, the cabin was very clean comfortable and cosy and the barhroom was huge. The location in the middle of the wilderness is great as we got to see heaps of wallabies and wombats running freely!. The location was excellent and the cabins were very clean and comfortable. The guest lounge was a particularly useful facility and the availability of wines and cold drinks was very welcome. Also, availability of the internet in the guest lounge was appreciated.The cabins were well equipped and the guest laundry a very useful facility. We ad a very pleasant stay. I loved everything about the accommodation, before getting there I was expecting a creepy cabin but my daughter & I were very surprised seeing very beautiful place and the cabin was excellent with every facility in it, just loved it. They should change the photos in the website because it looks creepy put some real and nice pictures. Excellent location in beautiful unspoilt environment with helpful friendly start at the beginning of our stay. The accommodation was extremely comfortable and skilfully located to give a feeling of isolation and naturalness. There was very clear attention to minimising the impact of our stay on the environment. We liked the extensive heating options, including heated spa, gas heating, electric heating, heated towel racks and heated electric blanket. They thought of everything. And the views and room were fantastic. We also appreciated the phone call from the staff who found a lost memory card in the room. A friend and I stayed two nights at the wilderness village and loved it. It had Everything you need for a few days of relaxation in a beautiful part of the world. The upgrade to the two bedroom unit was greatly appreciated as was the early check in - would definitely consider staying again. The cabin was very good and had everything that we needed......and the room was already warmed up when we checked in. Great to find a fridge that wasn't there as a mini bar and could actually be used by the guest. Loved the idea of the guest lounge & bar adjacent to reception. The Village was easy to find and a short drive after coming off the ferry. The accomodation was really comfortable and suitable for the children, who could either amuse themselves in the playground, play games in the communal lounge or read a book/DVD in the cottage. Beautiful chalets with attractive décor. Abundant wildlife including possums, a quoll and wallabies.Great shuttle bus service in and out of National Park from the nearby Park office. We got lucky with a recent snowfall which made our teenage children VERY happy. Everything. Lovely unit, great view, comfy beds, good price. Wildlife came to visit......just wonderful. Close to all activities and shuttle bus. Just remember when packing your car, close all doors or you may take a pademelon home with you . Will be back. Wild life at our door. Hope everyone is honest with this trusted opportunity. The village was fantastic. Very private and the location fantastic. The is nothing I can say negative about the place. The tour we went on was fantastic. Actually, I must admit I had tears in my eyes. I was overwhelmed with the place. The chalet room size is very comfortable for 4 adults. The heating is good in all rooms including toilet. Full Kitchen facilities and towers are clean. The staff is understanding and upgrade us to a bigger chalet due to family size. Cottage was warm and cosy and clean. Good layout with room for 4. Location of cottage right in the bush was great with nightly visits of pademelons and possums - even when the possum thought it ok to come inside for warmth!. It was conveniently located, with in walking distance to the visitor's centre and the two stores. The lodge was well equipped for cooking, the lay out great, overall very pleasant. The staff was friendly and helpful. As I had international guests, having kangaroos grazing in the paddock was a highlight. we also saw parrots, emus and wombats in the area. casual and relaxed it was a delightful place to stay. It was so sweet that the accommodation was warmed up when we walked it from cold weather. The towel heater was also a plus! There is also a BBQ to use but we didn't have a chance to try it out. A nice and confortable place for a family, animals all around the bungalow is great, very kind staff. Don't forgett to bring food with you, because there's no shopping around. Warm bungalow,. It is a good place to stay.It is near to Cradle Mountain Park, and you will find lovely wild animals around the cottage. The buffet dinner in a nearby restaurant is also worth trying. The resort is well located near the visitor centre and shop. The cabin was clean, light and the bush outlook very relaxing. We are definitely coming back for longer next year. The cabin was fantastic, loved the spa in the centre of the room! It was a very romantic spot. Location was brilliant, cottage was clean and warm when we arrived, plently of extra bedding. ...Didn't like having to leave. The only thing I did not like was the poor state of the tarmac outside the cabin. I always felt I was walking dirt and dust into the cabin, although there was an adequate mat for brushing our shoes upon entry to the cabin. We were given an upgrade at the beginning of our stay only to find on checkout that we were expected to pay. Despite pointing this out we were still charged half the difference. They had a great offering of a breakfast hamper. A hamper to pick up the night before and cook the morning. But it could have done with some better quality food ie better sausage, toast etc. it'd be great if they offered dinner/cheese hampers also. Only negative was the water taste being a little 'off'. It would have been good to have either washers/dryers in the cottage or at least a place to dry wet clothes after a day spent walking through the National Park. Limited options for purchasing food within the vicinity for self-catering purposes. I loved it all!. If you need to use the internet pl purchase the voucher in advance during check in. We didn't buy it and were unable to use it when the reception closed. Could do with wifi access in cottages. Nothing to say, we would go back again. You are a little far out of town, but for us that was actually a plus. Nothing. The equipment of the kitchen is too short, Internet is absolutly to forget. That we couldn't sit outside due to the weather!. We didn't stay longer!. The large shower is great but could use two shower heads so that two people could enjoy it together.....or move it into the centre of the shower?... Also the fan in the bathroom didn't work well, needs to be stronger, made everything in the bathroom damp. Aside from this it was perfect. One of the receptionists wasn't very helpful. After checking out I went back to ask for a receipt and whether I could make a long phone call (and pay for it) but he said he couldn't help with either of these requests. Thankfully I emailed them and was promptly sent a receipt. Could be cold. Remoteness can be limiting. Internet only in the lounge and quite slow and expensive. Kitchen would be limited for real self catering. Size wise is rather small. The kitchen is also less than well equipped. Price was a little more then what I would of liked to have paid. I thought the kitchen could do with a few more implements and items. The options for cooking and meal preparation were a little small. The basics were there but a few more items would be good. nothing. Nothing. That I had to leave:). We were under the impression that the cabins were fully self contained. Cooking facilities were great apart from the fact that there was no oven, only a hotplate and a microwave. no bath. Now that you are building a restaurant, that will be a huge boost. I would have had my meals there had it been open for my visit. I could not get through to reception en route so was unsure as to whether the hotel would be open or not.
