The central location and free, secure parking The free WiFi The policy of quietness and respect for other guests, which obviously works well, as it was a very pleasant stay for us in spite of them being full, and catering for young families as well. Great location staff very friendly and helpful. Easily accessible to the beach, bars restaurants and shops. The room was large with a double and single bed and couch. The kitchette was a great addition so if you didn't want to eat out all the time at least you could make basic meals. There is also large balconies on all the rooms which is a great feature.

Jeanetta Johnstone. The staff were super helpful. Whilst the accommodation was on the cheaper end of the scale, it was exactly what we required for a nights' stay. Older style buildings and decor, but extremely well kept. We had room 19 and loved the balcony and general feel of the room. Both the ladies we met at the front desk were very welcoming and friendly. Whole complex was well-maintained and pleasant to be in. The location was really great. Close to the main centre of Byron, yet the Motel was in a quiet area. The amenities in the room and the addition of a private balcony made the stay more comfortable. The motel is centrally located within an easy stroll to the beach, restaurants and shops. The motel has a small kitchenette and a fully equipped laundry (including dryer!). Location, room size and balcony. The WiFi did not work from the bed, but worked ok elsewhere in the room - ? Shielded by the walls of the rooms between the bed and the closest arial (there are 3arials, so caption should be ok in all other locations. Nothing it was all good. The frying pan was poor quality and our bacon stuck to it - fortunately it soaked off so cleaning with the sponge wasn't an issue. No other problems really!. Rooms did feel quite cold, however the little fan heater and extra blankets helped!. It was extremely hot during our stay and we really missed the air conditioning. The overhead fans just don't compensate. There were no standard toiletteries provided - only a small piece of soap which meant that we had to go out and buy shampoo and shower gel. Noisy on Saturday night. Lighting in room - could do with some floor lamps. TV screen too small Lights over the bed would be much better than bedside lamps. Sitting area - couch very uninviting - could do with a coffee table. Room was freezing and there is no heating at all. No shampoo,.. petty, but a pain in the butt when you've driven all day and didn't know it wasn't provided. Fairly poor lighting in the unit I had. mattress needed replacing (felt old and soft) no airconditioning no wi fi. Exit from underground car park so steep you are in danger of bottoming out your car. Take care!!!!. Some remnant smell of cigarette smoke. the 'cooking' facilities were not of usable standards. eg could use oven or grill with only one of top heaters otherwise did not work. Needs better lighting. Nothing. Electric hot plates very dangerous and difficult to manage. No Aircond. The stairs. We stayed for 3 nights. It was extremely noisy with people partying all night and we could not get to sleep until 3 am. We notified reception on the second day, and called the 24hr management several times on the third night with no answer. A small point, that I had to move the table and chairs inside when we wanted to playcards. The television is in the wrong position if wishing to watch t.v. from your bed. STAIRS.Guests need to be informed of these. The mattress. Was very noisy at times. Renovations being done and rooms around us had tradesmen early and smell of paint. Had to climb stairs so wouldn't recommend for people who have difficulty in stairs. No hand towels provided and no shampoo. Also we stayed 3 nights and only towels changed in that time. Stairs, awkward placement of tele. No air. Potential for noise ...though efforts made by managers to prevent parties after 10pm. Quite expensive for what you get. Very slow internet connection. Not really coffee making facilities as only water boiler, so one can only make instant coffee. Sagging bed, and noise of the surrounding district.
