I work @ the No1 Luxary Resort on Hamilton Island, so I'm the type to get up high & down low to inspect each and every aspect of Accom I stay in, I would say I'm very Critical: However, apon arrival the; outside: of the building was sercure with key touch entry (or intercom for acess for vistors) clean tidy, very inviting. LOBBY: Was spotless, even under furniture. Extremely clean & Shiny, modern, Mirrors mark free. And the staff wonderful & friendly. Room: Large Spacious Modern des.
all reviews » Location was great for walking along the river with close proximity to boardwalks gardens and city., also close to restaurants, bars and ferry transport, which we used to go to New farm Park and the powerhouse. We stayed in a one bedroom which was only a few dollars more than the studio but with much more space. Staff were friendly and helpful and we could recommend mint for longer stays whether business or holidays. Nice apartment,clean, however more attention should be given to make sure everything was there. When I first spoke with Ryan over the phone and later he was very helpful, shame other staff chose to blame others and have excuses. Such as I'm on my own you will have to pick things up. Get down there and she's not alone. I don't want this to not let us stay there again, and hope next time is better. Thank you. We had a lovely stay for 3 nights here with our children while visiting family in Australia. Beautiful room with truly amazing views of Story Bridge. Staff are lovely and very helpful. Our only disappointment was the pool, the children were unable to swim in it as it wasn't clean and there were cigarette ends floating around in it, apart from that we did enjoy our stay and the location is good. - Well furnished,equipped, maintained - efficient staff with good feedback - lovely views and facilities which unfortunately we could not use as we're there for just 14 hours - everything that one would expect from a five star hotel - at 50 dollars a head it was a steal and would recommend to anybody planning a stay - we were 6 adults in a 3 bedroom apt. Staff very friendly on arrival. we were lucky enough to be upgraded - fabulous 2 bed 2 bathroom apartment with a large balcony and the most amazing view of the Brisbane river and the storey bridge. Couldn't fault the apartment - had everything we needed and more and in a great location. The view from our room was fantastic. our deluxe 2 bed apartment was very comfortable, clean and well appointed. The accomodation is very well located to the city and the valley and very close to the river and boardwalk. The staff were friendly and efficient. Good value. Fantastic. Staff were always helpful. Very modern and clean. Spacious apartments with all you need to be self sufficient. Great position looking over the river at the storey bridge and about 900m straight down Queen st to the Mall or 400m to the river cats and ferries. I highly recommend this place to anyone the staff where very nice the rooms were excellent the views amazing great location its good for a group or a couple whoever its great I loved it was wortj every dollar I will def go back in a flash I loved it :). On our trip one of our group was unfortunate to end up unwell and requiring hospital treatment the night before we had to leave. The Mint staff were incredible and very accommodating allowing a late checkout and were very supportive. Excellent spot to stay with small children, walking distance to eating out options and great kitchen to cook/eat in. Convenience store at entrance to building. Short walk to the pier to catch rivercat to sightseeing opportunity. The proximity to the City, River & parks was fantastic. Great access to restaurants & convenience store. Reception staff, helpful & courteous. The balcony was a good size for relaxing. The unit was well appointed. The staff were exceedingly helpful. The river views enabled us to capture a lot of the Riverfire festival from our balcony. We loved walking along the river walkway which was so close by but also a short walk to the city. The apartment had everything you need and a lovely comfortable bed. An easy walk to all the sights. Very near to Eagle St Pier, which is great and you can get the free ferry to the South bank.. We had a great stay. Great budget friendly apartment without giving up the luxury, not to mention the view! Great facilities and the staff was nice and friendly. I would definately stay here again and recommend it to others. Couldn't Figure out the dishwasher. Some little things like the shower doors could be cleaned a little better. Some renovations happening in the foyer but did not affect us too much. The only thing I didnt like was there was no light for the outside bbq besides that all was great. Could be cleaner, smear marks on glass table tops and kitchen splash back. Room in need of makeover a bit tied looking. Drain in bathroom floor needs looking at as it was smelly. Spa pool didn't work. Nothing. Parking costs should have been included. The nonslip 'inlaid' mat on the floor of the bath/shower was discoloured & not very clean. I certainly wouldn't sit on it to enjoy a relaxing bath. I understand the safety aspects of this matting, however, a removable non slip mat would be preferable and encourage one to enjoy the otherwise excellent bath. As we have four children we needed to book a three bedroom but the unit had three queen size beds. As children get older this is not very helpful at all as they do not want to share beds. It would be nice if we were able to select an option for single beds. Had to pay $25 extra for parking. we couldnt stay longer. the 'spa' pool didn't seem to work, unless it was supposed to be cold. And clearer instructions on how to work the steam room would also be nice. and maybe also free wifi would be nice. nothing !. Not enough light over the sinks in the bathrooms. There were some issues with the cleaning BUT they were resolved and dealt with very efficiently. The design of the reception area is unwelcoming and staff were operating behind barriers almost. Staff were not as pleasant as you would expect. Initial front door entry requirements were confusing. My husband burned his hand on a bedside lamp light globe that dislodged when turning on. He reported it to staff who were unsympathetic and offhand about it. There was a bad smell coming from the drain in the bathroom - needs flushing out. river view slightly blocked by other apartment. The bed was comfy, but the pillows let down the bedding. They were very flat. Room rates vary with the day of the week. Odd Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Mondays seem quite reasonable but increase considerably for the balance of the week. Each time we stepped out of the lift (our apartment was on the 10th floor) we were assaulted by an offensive odour (rotten cabbage/garbage smell) that presumably was coming from the garbage shute (unfortunately located meters from our apartment door). Thankfully the smell was not apparent once inside our apartment. Nothing really, we were very happy with our stay - in fact we extended our booking while we were there!. paying for parking. Disappointed that swimming pool was closed the for the 2 weeks we stayed. It was a bit hard to get to in the car but well worth it when we arrived. Poorly signposted. It is in the Skyline Building without any external signage for the Mint until you go inside looking for it. Internet not complimentary despite the cost of the Room. could have been cleaner. Bit confusing where to park prior to checking in. Nothing that I can think of, not free wi-fi?!. Lack of TV channels - only news and sport. No Living, Discovery or History. The TV Volume could not be adjusted up which was difficult for my husband to hear. we were 5 older ladies who were looking forward to a rest after shopping all day. but there was only 1 coach and 2 very uncomfortable chairs. leaving. Only stayed 2 nights. Nothing. Limited view,. No sun but you can't have everything.
