  We came as a group and booked both the "mansion" and the "coach house". Both were amazing - old houses on whose land I guess the other motel-like units were built. Overlooking the river and with lawns all round, a barbeque down by the river. Sure the houses were old, but still in good repair. With 5 bedrooms and three lounge rooms with working fir... what people say » eplaces, the mansion was just one out of the box. Had a great time! - The staff and restaurant and restaurant staff were fantastically friendly and helpful. And the food especially at the restaurant - we had dinner - was some of the most delicious my partner and I ever tasted. And the view of the Derwent river was also brilliant. The ducks came right up to our back door and we could feed them. It was so peaceful and adorable.

  The Robin Boyd Pavilion was spacious and as depicted in the photos - all mod cons, aesops products,fine furnishings,complementary bottle of wine, worthy of the price per night! Upon arrival staff took us down to the pavilion in a golf buggy. The location of all the pavilions in the 'bush surroundings' further enhanced our experience of a 'get away... what people say » ' and yet it was close enough to walk to the excellent restaurant "The Source" and of course the architectural masterpiece of a Museum itself.The Muse - The beautiful position, the chooks and ducks and guinea fowl wandering in the grounds, the great view, the breakfast.
