Loved the atmosphere on the grounds with the open-air lobby and tropical landscaping.
The on-site restaurant had excellent food and a view of the pool and ocean. The tiki torch lighting in the evenings with the sound of the conch shell and great entertainer was also very memorable.

We liked how close we were to the beach. I left my sliding glass door open all night so I could hear the ocean. Very soothing. There are a lot of places to stay on Maui, I feel that I stayed in the best location!! Easy to get in and out. Hwy 30 just down the street. The staff made it extremely easy to come and go. They weren't pushy, but available when you needed them.

The pool and location were amazing. We lounged around the pool almost every day and enjoyed the friendly service of the waitress that passed by. The hotel is right on the beach and a very short walk to Whaler's Village (a shopping mall). If that is not enough stores, Lahaina has more and the Westin provides a shuttle service that leaves every hour

This is Hawaii's Hawaiian Hotel. We had a room on the main floor, garden view, room 178 (smoking outside). It didn't face the large area of the garden, but it did have a small garden outside our room. We enjoyed it more because it was secluded. You could see the ocean through the trees. The location is beautiful, the hotel is beautiful, staff very friendly and helpful. After arrival they sent us to occupied room, when we returned to front desk, they upgraded us and gave us a voucher for the restaurant. The property is gorgeous! The grounds are spectacular with 7 pools, access to the beach, shops close by, and a decent restaurant on site.
The room was immaculate (I am very picky about cleanliness and use this term sparingly) and very comfortable. I paid rack rate for a one-night's stay, but feel it was worth the price. I wish my stay were longer!

Lovely pools & hot tub & room 4414 is a gorgeous view! Beautiful grounds. Cliff diving is a highlight. -

This was our second stay at the Mauian. The temper-pedic beds are wonderful for those times you aren't at the beach. I came with my then wife on a 25th anniversary trip in 1997. Since then there has been quite a bit of development of other hotels in the area since then but there is still a feeling of space because of the surrounding golf courses. Access from pool to sea is excellent.

The swimming pool complex was amazing and well-suited for both a 1-year-old and an 8-year-old.
