A very comfortable stay. Our room overlooked the meadows at the back, with sheep grazing, very peaceful. We were able to park our car in one of the garages by our room. We wanted an inexpensive place to go for the bank holiday weekend, and couldn't have made a better find! Such a beautiful countryside location, with lots of long walks easily available for a perfect relaxing weekend. The staff was incredibly helpful throughout our stay, full of recommendations and very friendly. The location is remote, so there's not a lot going on, but it is easily accessible by bus (make sure you bring cash, there's no ATM nearby!) and surrounded by lovely fields. Definitely

I loved our one night stay at The New Inn because of where it was situated in Winchelsea. A lovely place. The food was delicious and the breakfast substantial. The landlady was very attentive. I would love to go back. - Value for money, clean, location,.very friendly, good food. Highly recommended if you are in the area !

Had a really nice stay. Staff were excellent and could not have been more helpfull from the moment i pulled my car up to the moment i checked out. We had avery comfortable ensuite deluxe room on the second floor with a greatshower, nice linens, and beautiful views of the countryside and CamberCastle. Although we did not have dinner there, our breakfasts weredelicious. I would recommend this hotel and definitely stay there again.

We stayed at Willow Tree for our mini honeymoon, it was perfect. Liz and Adrian made us feel very welcome and put a bottle of bubbly in our room. Our room 'Playden' was beautifully decorated, comfy bed and very clean. Willow Tree has a beautiful garden which you are free to use, and Barney the dog is a lovely! Excellent location to the town and the breakfasts are AMAZING!

This was our second stay at The Ship Inn. We had previously stayed there in 2011 a few months before we got married this time, we wanted to have a little holiday in Rye before our baby arrived. We enjoyed our stay so much that it brought on early labour! But we had enough time to have the delicious breakfast they provide and managed to check out, drive back to London and have our beautiful baby boy the next day.
