  Without exception, the staff were delightful. Extremely helpful in terms of the stay but also shared knowledge about local area- walks,shopping etc.Flexible about check in / out times - welcomed early and wasn't 'rushed' out. Great to have a choice of bath and shower.Lovely comfy (and huge) bed provided a good night's rest after a day's walking. A grea - Clean comfortable room. Large car park. All the staff were very friendly and cheerful despite being very busy in both restaurant and bar. Food was excellent with a good choice available. The real ales were also in top condition! Thanks to Jooles and everyone for making my stay so enjoyable. Must return!

  I was a little anxious when booking this that it would be dirty and cold, but it turned out to be clean and cosy. The staff at the pub were friendly and helpful, and the accommodation itself was better than expected. The room was not big (we had 2 bunk beds for 2 adults and 2 children aged 4 and 9 - if there had been a third we would not have got ... τι λέει ο κόσμος » through the door) but it was clean and the heater was more than adequate to keep the space warm. The kitchen was well-equipped, including cutlery and - £10 a bed you can't go wrong.only about 4 miles away from Keswick town. Great location backs onto a great hiking track. Took my 8year old daughter and doggy, had a great time.bunkhouses are like stables, first door is bedrooms then next is kitchen and next bathroom. Food nice at pub too. No keys just door codes.
