  the staff were very polite and helpful .. from the receptionist to the waiting staff in the breakfast dining room and the night receptionist, nothing was any trouble for them at all - the ambience and welcoming atmosphere; the efficient,friendly but courteous staff for whom nothing was too much trouble

  Very friendly and attentive staff. Room was small but clean and tidy, the bathroom was also very small but it still met all my needs for the two nights I was there. Despite being a weekend it was quiet around the rooms and I wasn't disturbed. Cooked breakfast was excellent, with tea and toast and great value for money. - Staff were excellent. Couldn't do enough for us.Provided us with full english even though we came down half an hour after published breakfast time !! Breakfast was good. Hotel very clean throughout and very comfy bed.   We found this a very friendly hotel to stay in. All the staff we met were excellent and made our stay very comfortable. One very small issue regarding the heating in the bedroom was solved immediately & with no fuss. The room was clean, large & well fitted. It's good honest pub grub offering decent portions at a reasonable price. - Without exception the staff were cheerful, helpful and polite. Food choice, quality and speed of service very good. Although we only had the disabled room because it was the last available, Reception rang our home to ask if we had any special needs.
