This was a great hotel, reminded me of a quality American hotel with
large rooms, restaurants, and fitness facilities. The location was
perfect for sightseeing in Bergen. We arrived at the train station after
our Norway in a Nutshell tour and walked approx. 10 minutes to the
hotel. It's right next to the picturesque Byrggen area and the
flybussen

Breakfast was fantastic and included in the rate. -
The location is really excellent, very very close to Brygge, Bryggens Museum, Rosenkrantz Tarn and Akon Hall. Just outside the hotel there is the bus stop for the shuttle service to the Airport (with frequent rides every day). Breakfast is good and with a wide choice of food. The rooms we booked - two standard rooms - were sufficiently spacious, definitely clean and comfortable, though not very bright.

Luxurious and clean rooms, clean atmosphere, luxurious bathrooms, nice breakfast but could have had more vegetarian options, Overall good service. - Friendly helpful staff. Good view from window. Larger than expected room.

I found the hotel to be well presented despite reading reviews of the rooms being dated. I also had a room at the rear of the hotel overlooking the park which was exceptionally quiet despite reading reviews about noise. When booking, if you are looking for a room away from street noise ask for a room over looking the park at the rear in 'Special

Great breakfast with a very good range of options. Helpful and pleasant staff. We had an internal room & although there was no natural light, it was silent so we slept brilliantly. It was a good size and had everything you would expect. The location is great: very central and it is easy to walk to all the attractions of the city.

Very friendly stall. We rented 3 rooms for our family. The front desk
staff immediately upgraded my wife and my room to a deluxe unit. We had
asked for quiet rooms so when we arrived around 2 pm, we were asked if
we could wait 1-hour for the requested rooms. It was no problem as we

The hotel exudes old-world charm: nice wood wainscotting, lovely wood floors, and Oriental rugs. A large first floor room stays open all day with complimentary coffee, tea, and fruit and a limited menu. Breakfast is fabulous. Whimsical light fixtures in the rooms add a nice touch. A close walk to the center of town. Across the street from the train station and several blocks from the bus station.

the room felt like a small house: there was a mini bar, a porch with great view to the mountains. we had a kettle in our room which was very helpful.
there were computers for use of the guests free of charge with free internet in the lobby.

was quiet with resonable walking distance to main atractions like old
city, harbor (10min) or central rail station (15min). Brekfast was
delicious with big choice. Reception reacts very fast on your requests.

The location of the hotel is excellent for airport transfers and generalsight seeing. The hotel also has a very nice touch with the afternoonwaffles and coffee. The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. - It is close to the Airport, but a taxi ride is still 200kr. The staff were very helpful and after a false start into an unsuitable room, we were efficiently moved into a much more suitable room.
