Almost everything. The property is beautiful and extremely well run, the staff are very well trained and the food is fantastic. It feels like being in the South of France, in a property of understated elegance as opposed to the gaudy opulence of some 5 star resorts. -

A very cosy place that was well furnished. Stayed in Ellenbrook Suite which had a nice spa bath in the bathroom (not sure furnishing of other 3 rooms). Breakfast was fantastic! Dirk and Pam were wonderful hosts! -
very friendly also helpful as to where to and what sites to visit. thank you for helping us see things we would not have seen other

Basildene manor was faultless. The staff were wonderful, the grounds breathtaking, the room divine. We had afternoon tea of scones with cream and jam, and they were delicious. Easy to find, easy to get parking unlike inner city hotels were its one way streets and double parking just to check in. Quiet, private, luxurious but not over the top where you may feel out of place. All the staff made us feel very important and that they genuinely cared. Loved the upgrade - thankyou so much! The room was everything and more than we were expecting. Right from the moment we walked up to reception until check out, everything was first class. The grounds are so well kept, easy access to the beautiful Cable Beach, the pool area, spa facilities. You couldn't go wrong with staying here -

The reception staff were particularly helpful. They were offering all
kinds of help before we had even asked for it.This included making
bookings for day trips , flights etc., and for caring for our luggage
while we were away for a few days. The cleaning staff were equally
helpful, making sure that we had everything that we would like to have.

We enjoyed a self contained villa/suite. We were welcomed warmly by Steve and our room was changed to be nearer to our family coming in from the bush. The accommodation was great and well serviced. Being associated with nearby Matso's was a bonus. We could walk or catch the bus to town, the markets, the Museum and Cable Beach. We got the regular shuttle to the airport. Tracey and Kate looked after us in reception. We wish we could have had access to our room for a bit longer - till 12 pm on the

I loved the friendly helpful staff. Location was excellent so easy to get anywhere. Room was very clean and comfortable. One of the best hotels I have stayed at at this level. It's situated right in city centre, very convenient to shop and get access to any food you want.
Staffs are friendly and helpful, sometimes they even offer candies n chocolates to guest while waiting at lobby and my kids love it. The room is decent and comfortable though it looked old. Breakfast spread is the same everyday but its decent and tasty, nothing to complain about.

The setting was magical. Serene, fairytale garden, beside a river.
Ambience unbelievable, with farmyard feel, geese meandering in the 5 acres of old world charm, and oozing with history and antiques. Amazing array of all sorts of wares to buy displayed in every nook and crany. Breakfast in the barn cosy and inviting. A wonderful retreat at a very affordable price.

I love that the adult pool is separate from the main pool. It is such a
great concept that luxury hotels should embrace. The rooms are
comfortable with everything you need, the staff are accommodating,
polite and a credit to the management of this long standing hotel.
Breakfast buffet is a very good way to start the day. I couldn't
complain after
