Cheap but comfortable and very clean. Free wifi and parking. The hotels you pay $200+ for per night don't even give you that. The rooms are small but not claustrophobic. I have stayed in high end resorts with rooms not much bigger. Very easy to get a taxi, walking distance to queen street, easy to find, would definitely stay here again. The room was simply beautiful, the views to the park amazing, very clean & tidy. The staff was very nice to us and although we arrived before the check in time they managed to give us a room so we could rest. They were also great adivising us on how to get to know the city. Excellent price for good accomodation!.

The motel restaurant was not inspiring so far as evening meals went but there were a couple of hotels with good restaurants nearby where one could get an evening meal, The breakfasts were very good. The reception was very helpful. My flight from the US was greatly delayed and I was going to miss the check-in time. The clerk helped me plan an alternate check-in procedure while I was stuck in the airport - he was incredibly kind and helpful. Great location - able to walk all over the city or catch public transportation easily. Very good value for money. This hotel is ideally sited for patients visiting the Brisbane Private Hospital. The staff are very helpful and whilst the rooms are relatively small they are very clean and comfortable and the restaurant food is reasonable in both quality and price. I will be more than happy to stay at Soho again, as it was perfect for where I need to be, very, very clean and service outstanding, highly recommend the breakfast, wish I had eaten at the restaurant for all my meals. Thank you to all staff at the Soho. I arrived early to be greeted in a warm and friendly My room was made available to me immediately which was such a relief. The food in the restaurant was good & reasonably priced. The room was clean, quiet & comfortable. Facilities were ample. The bathroom was also well equipped & the shower was great. All in all a good stay. Very good location with easy access to the city, public transport (bus) at front door. Very comfortable bed, spotless room (although compact), basic breakfast but appetizing, clean bathroom - all linen/towels clean and fresh. we arrived very early - 8am - but were given a room immediately. lady on the desk was very helpful. location is very good for city centre, provided you don't mind walking up a small hill. room not large but more than adequate. staff were helpful and allowed me to check in early reception had snacks room was comfortable and clean close to private hospital (3 mins walk) and close enough to train station and city centre to walk (10-15 mins). The staff were all very friendly. There was a good laundry facility and wifi was free. It has its charme with the old furniture in the room and it suited our purpose very well. We also enjoyed the small balcony. it was very close to the city center, train station and beautiful park. also, they prepared for our packed breakfast the night before we checkout becaus we had a very early flight the next day. I liked the friendly young lady who was there when I first arrived to book in. The room was clean and comfortable and of course it is in a good location and I thought it was reasonably priced. Phillip was very helpful. Especially when sorting out parking for my motorcycle. Rooms provided everything a visitor would need for a visit. Would use the Soho again when visiting Brisbane. the room was beautiful, clean, quiet and 11am check out made it even better as didnt have to get up early to pack and leave and feel rushed and uneasy. staff were very kind and helpful. apart from the location is just so beautiful, overlooking the city. It was peaceful, elegant in its own unique way and affordable. The room is quaint for a single and I really liked it. Free wifi - a must for all hotels in the future. There was a free bus service every 10 minutes stopping outside the hotel. The staff were all particularly friendly and efficient. The two members of staff that I met were very friendly and informative and when I stupidly misplaced the tv remote were very kind about my 'blond' moment in helping me find it!. I know there's a tiny sign advising ramp is slippery when wet but possibly apply some slip prevention tape at base of ramp. I did go bottoms up with a very light shower of rain. Its only that I had to carry my big luggage to the 3rd level and i kinda kinked my back. If only they could have a pathway beside the stairs for easy carting of our luggages. Hilly area; No lift; reception works 12 hours only - NO late check in. rooms a little small. No lift. Restaurant was closed on the night of our stay. The " window rattler" a/c unit would have been annoying if the temperature had been higher. No lift!. Our bar fridge wasn't plugged in when we arrived. little. Steep hill from hotel to city; Reception works 12 hrs only, i.e no chance for late check in. No elevator. Coastly unreliable business centre Room cleaning is not always good. Old style box aircon can be noisy. the rooms were a little small, but not too small and the detail and furnishings made up for that. it was genuinely 'cosy'. Restaurant not open for dinner on sunday evening. There isn't a lift. No elevator and i had 50kgs of luggage. To bad you can not leave your car for a few hours after check-out, because they are short in car parks anyway. our balcony door didnt open, and yes the rooms are small, but thats a STUDIO apartment. Room a bit small - no where to sit but on the bed or on balcony (too cold at night). no fan in room didn't want to leave ac going all night opened window - little bit noisy. It is a Motel not a Hotel. Small rooms which is usual for a city Hotel. Room and bathroom small but ok for our 1 night stay. nothing really other than mentioned. Very old fashioned décor and the exterior is a little run down. The room was also quite small. There is no lift so bags have to be lugged up and down the stairs. Our accommodations were on the second floor so there was not too much climbing. The restaurant was closed for lunch and dinner during the weekend. There is another near by and delivery was fast so it is not a big problem. Air conditioner was dated and noisy. See above. Car parking a bit of a squeeze.
