I had a single suite with ensuite bathroom and little patio. Whilst tiny, it was comfortable and scrupulously clean. The single bed and pillow were comfortable. Location is good in terms of accessing Brisbane's CBD. Whilst I wouldn't want to stay for an extended period, for CBD accommodation for a night or two it is more than acceptable and very good value. Closeness to city, China Town, Showground and RBWH & Childrens Hospitals - walking distances. Communal Dining & cooking facilities, lounge & television area at front - a great area to relax with a drink, and they are licenced as well. Rooms comfortable & clean with fridge and tea/coffee making facilities.
όλα τα σχόλια » Excellent location with a lovely view of the old museum and easy access to the facilities of fortitude valley. The covered terrace is a lovely place to have a drink or a meal. Lots of wood and quirky old things in the public parts with a well-equipped kitchen. It was nice to have coffee, tea, milk and water in the room. Loved the closeness to Royal Bris hospital. I walked in 12 mins, including standing at traffic lights; taxi from $6, $9, $11.20! I loved the size of the room; I loved the size of the fridge and freezer; I loved the history on the walls; facilities were good; I loved the price. The Brisbane Manor was quiet, clean and the staff friendly and very helpful. I had 2 nights there and I couldnt fault them, if youre not a fan of comunial bathrooms and toilets then you probably wont like it, but to me that was not a drama and definately value for money... The location and the cheap pricing! I always chose the manor as my first option when I stay in fortitude valley. It's a great homey feeling but the bed we had those nights were slightly uncomfortable but definitely worth the stay! :). Nice staff, room was ready for me with very short notice on my behalf! There was a nice casual atmosphere and a friendly, content, resident cat always gives a good impression to an animal lover like myself. Keep up the good work! :). Had a over night hospital visit for me and the staff arranged the taxi for me early the nxt day. Allowed a late checkout for my partner as she had to wait for the hospital to discharge me. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Pretty much everything.. It's a great old building with lots of character.. Loved the outdoor deck and the place was clean and tidy and great location. Wld stay there again!. My single room was basic but clean and had everything I needed, plus a TV, fridge and even a little balcony. It was quiet and comfortable. I slept well and felt safe there. There was nothing not to like about this accommodation. The room and ensuite was adequate for my needs. Perfect for a short term stay, and budget wise it was great. The comfortable rooms, private bathroom, staff. Kitchen, pleasant indoor and outdoor eating areas , umbrella for hire, proximity to Tivoli and China town , the cat. I have stayed there a number of times now and I think it is the best value for money around brisbane. I hope they keep to the same cost if possible. Good value for the money.. In room wifi, incl in price.. Fridge was also helpful and the distance to city, certainly within walking distance. Cheap and easy access to city, friendly and helpful staff, safe and clean, good parking without having to worry about meters. The Motel was very clean and the staff were wonderful, it was also in close proximity to the hospital that we had to go to. proximity to brisbane hospital; car park under your eye; large room and bed; large fridge; library, excellent kitchen. friendly staff, large room. excellent location. great verandah to have a drink. I will be coming back next time. The history of the building & the memorabilia. The main kitchen is a great idea. Individual balconies. Lovely old Queenslander, done up, clean, really enjoyed our stay, would stay again no problems. Convenience for the conference, ease of driving from the Manor to the convention centre. Was extremely close to the showgrounds where we worked for the weekend so was perfect. I loved Oscer the cat! The staff are great. Will definetly be coming back next year. The facilities were very clean and the rooms were very clean and tidy. Yep good basic accommodation for a short stay. staff were friendly,. that my room had a balcony The room was spacious for a single room. Good value, friendly staff, convenient for the city, easy parking. closeness to royal Brisbane women's hospital and wet bar. happy with the place worked well with our requirements. Lovely to have a little verandah into vegetation and with that big hanging basket with the white and turq wall behind and structure overhead. Will use it for a work of art. Good value. Hard to find any private rooms that price in Brisbane. The little balconies are a nice feature. TVs in private rooms are good. Staff friendly and helpful. Room serviced. Ceiling fan. The atmosphere, room size and location were excellent. There is a well equipped common kitchen that is commercial size, making catering for families a breeze. The resident cat is very charming!. The outside look and meeting place in the open air of the hotel is nice. The wooden walls and floors make you feel natural and comfortable. The price is reasonable. The outside garden/terrace area, the balconies, the fact you could buy an alcoholic drink and relax on the terrace, easy access to the city. Cheap and clean. Cheap, clean, simple accommodation. We will definately return for any brisbane trips in future. Perfect balance for price comfort and location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our first 2 nights we stayed at the loft which was very nice and spacious. Good value for money!. Nice single room with sink. Good bed and balcony was nice as well. Free wifi, yay!. Onsite parking was very limited but this is understandable given its location. Haven't found anything yet that we didn't like and we have stayed at least twice a year for a number of years now, coming down from Hervey Bay for medical treatment nearby as well as the yearly caravan show. Nothing important. The walls and connecting doors are thin. Clients are mix of backpackers and hospital visitors. Youngsters could be very noisy, but management quietened them always at 10 pm. Bed was skating on the tiled floor until we used the bath mat under the wheel. The rooms definately need fans, air con I can do without but need a fan to circulate the air... Our room was over the kitchen and the extractor van was loud and vibating. No a/c. Only that the bed was on rolls and moved about a bit.... but that was something I could cope with. Misleading to feature the historic brick mansion across the road in internet advertising - we thought that was where we would be staying!. Not enough parking spaces however you cannot have everything. Hey, it's not the Hilton, but it was surprisingly quiet... Despite our mentioning it when booking, the bed still skates around the room. The receptionist did her best. But it's no use pretending this is something new. The TV remote was missing, but the receptionist managed to find one for us. But these are tiresome at the end of a long journey. Sharing a bathroom. shower cubicles small. (I was willing to pick this option because of price, so this is not a complaint). Other guests partying outside our room. We could have picked up the courtesy phone to complain but we chose not to. We asked them to be quiet ourselves several times instead then slept through it. Nothing really. It was basic accommodation at an affordable price. The shared bathroom and toilet, I would have preferred a room with toilet and shower in the unit. Car parking not adequate some maintenance needed in some areas. particularly with the plumbing. Pillow was uncomfy Mirror & lighting in the bathroom was a bit useless. tv remote kaput but all else great. happy good value for money. The parking was really bad we had to park the next street down with out any securiy, very poor. room window was open to carpark, NO security screen or bars or solid window. we had to tie a shoelace around window shutter to secure our room. Nothing,but I don't recommend the hotel for family with children. No heating in my room but I was given a hot air fan on request. bed v uncomfortable which made for 2 poor nights sleep. the tv signal was bad. Beds should have mattress protectors $10 or $20 deposit for a cutlery set plate bowl cutlery and should be alloy so they don't get broken. Woke up to a layer of water covering the floor on the right hand side of the room apparently coming from next door. Room a bit small but adequat. Walls are pretty thin. You can hear most things from rooms either side. A couple of little cockroaches spotted in the upstairs bathroom. Didn't bother me too much but they were there. Beds were so uncomfortable that we had to cut our stay short. Also, parking is quite problematic with very limited on site parking. The queen bed move. The showeroom slippery Water tape linking. But the bedrooms and the batherooms are both not big enough. And there are too many young guys living there that make too much noise all night. Besides, there is not much parking space. I booked a standard single room and didn't realise that there was no tea or coffee facilities in the room and unfortunately for me no kettle available in the kitchen so unable to have a coffee druing my stay! First impressions it felt like a half way house rather than a hotel. Not enough car parks. The hotel was very noisy at night time, we kept waking up because people were yelling and screaming 3 o clock and ongoing during early morning. The room had no AC, and this was a double room with no bathroom. Not even a fan and it gets really hot during the day and night time. The kitchen closes at 9 pm which is no good due to my work, I finish at 10 pm. This hotel felt more like a backpacker than a hotel. The Wifi only worked our first 3 days of our stay. (Stayed for 7 days). Location was a bit away from everything and the Manor is up a steep hill, so you need to be fit to walk things.
