We stayed in Hotelmo which is next store to the Mantengase hotel, they offered private rooms with private bathroom. Everything was fantastic from the location, service, the owners of the complex are very very accommodating. Even though we couldnt speak a word of spanish and they couldnt speak a word of english, they bent over backwards to assist us. Breakfast was really good with good quality pastries, great coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice.

The hostel is very well located, close to some important points of the city or with easy access to buses. We stayed in the double room, the decoration is nice, detailed chosen and with colors... The people that received us at the hotel treated us as their family, caring if we had everything... the breakfast was good too... the front house, where we were having the breakfast, has turtles, dogs and a funny parrot, what made the experience even better for us... I highly recommend!.
Very friendly staff! Location in oldest district make the hotel very attractive for everybody who wants to be in the heart of events in Buenos Aires.
The staff was very friendly and willing to help us! It was all very nicely decorated with different and in walking distance to the heart of San Telmo, La Boca and the city centre.

The rooms were nice but overall not very clean. The bathroom and kitchen had overdue maintenance and were together with the pots and pans, fridges etc, far from clean.
My room was located next to the common area but that wasnt the problem... people including the staff thought it appropriate to sit not in the common area but right outside my door and shout at each other until almost 4am.
The bathrooms didn't have toilet paper and when I asked, they simply didn't find it. I had to use the toilet in the other floor.
1. Unbelievably dirty. Both the room and common areas.
2. The room had no window, and its door was opening to the common area, so at nights you could choose between noisy or stuffy AND noisy.
3. The bedsheet was not fitting the matress, so we was sleeping on the matress istself, dirty as everything else.
