  This stay was primarily used to have a hot shower in the AM. I am in Durham everyday commuted from Harnett county, but had a shutdown scheduled for Tuesday at 4AM. Rather that drive back home only to go straight to bed to be able to be on site at 3:30AM, I opted to stay in Durham and had intended to just catch a few winks in my trailer and 'bird b... was die leute sagen » ath it'. But fortunately Brookwood offered a rate and location that made it a 'no brainer' to book a room. This allowed me to sleep comfortably and ha - My first night there, my airconditioner did not work. I reported it the next morning, when I returned that day, a brand new wall unit had been placed. They fixed the problem quickly, efficiently, and with a smile. I have to return next month for two more weeks of training. I know where I will be staying! Thank you Brookwood Inn!

  Very comfortable. Easy to locate. Great room service and very delicious food. Staff were exceptional and very friendly and helpful. - The hotel is conveniently located to the Duke campus' and to downtown Durham. It is well maintained and comfortable.

  I liked that we were feet away from the surf. I didn't have to cross bridges over dunes or walk hundreds of feet to get to the beach. I was able to sit on my balcony every morning and watch the sun come up and watch the waves. The room had a retro feel which suited me just fine. Hope it survives the next hurricane because it is right there...Enjoy it as long as you can. You will never g - The staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was pleasant, The location was convenient and you could not beat the ocean front view. The restaurant has a limited menu, but the food was some of the finest I have every eaten. This is one of my favorite places to stay on the Outer Banks.
