  Hotel was right downtown on the water front and walking distance from most anything downtown. The people mover also stops here so its easy to get back to the hotel or visit any of the other locations in downtown. The staff was extermely friendly and helpful.   Deb was the night manager. We had talked to her the night before so she could charge the room to my husband's credit card, as he was not accompanying me on the trip.   It was clear that the hotel was being upgraded and we were happy that our rooms were those already completed. The furnishings were new, carpet and bedding was new, and the rooms were very clean. There were quite a few guests at the hotel but it was quiet throughout the evening.   Very friendly staff!! I was checked in very quickly, room was spacious, clean and quiet. This was booked for the night before my wedding. Breakfast was great, although extremely crowded. Also in the morning I asked for a late check out. I was denied, however 5 minutes later they called me back to inform the manager approved it!   It was convenient to airport. The heat had been turned on and it was warm when we arrived. We were able to leave our car while we traveled. - the bed was great and the room was clean. also, even though it is right under the flight path you never really hear flights at night.

  The people at the Front Desk were beyond respectful. The beds were so comfortable, and the room was very cozy. The Television is not perfect resolution, but to have a nice size flat screen in the room was a bonus. My son stuck something in the heater which caused it to stop working, and the Manager was perfectly fine with it.   Location is awesome. Right next to a large Meijers store. This was a stop over for us, we were travelling north. Staff are always friendly and my granddaughter loves the pool. This makes for a great relax time after a day of travelling.

  The desk clerk was enormously helpful. When I found the clock in my room didn't work, he immediately offered a wake-up call, which worked perfectly. He also directed me to a local riverside park, offered to call a taxi if I wanted to go downtown, and gave me a sense of what life in Detroit is like. The frontdesk personnel was very knowledgeable about the various neighborhoods/suburbs in Detroit and provided great service as well. The Shuttle service was another added bonus. I do plan to visit again and will definitely stay there.
