  Kleines Gasthaus, mitten in der kleinen Stadt gelegen und doch sehr ruhig mit einem wunderbaren kleinen Innenhof, in dem gefrühstückt wird. Imponiert und gefallen hat uns besonders die äußerst persönliche, hilfsbereite und die weit über das Normalmaß hinausgehende individuelle Betreuung durch Youssef, den Besitzer des Hauses. Es ist tatsächlich eine außergewöhnliche Unterkunft, was man jedoch unbedingt - Ufff, ich glaube alles. Youssef war der beste Gastgeber aller Zeiten. Es ist sehr nett und freundlich. Chez Youssef ist gut ausgestattet und liegt ganz nah von den Sanddünen. Wenn etwas an Chez Youssef uns gefehlt hat, hat Youssef sich darum gekümmert, dass wir es bekommen. Ich kann Chez Youssef für Erholungsurlaub weiterempfehlen.

Located at Meknes Medina, just 7 minutes walk from the main square and 3 minutes from medina markets, it has a private car parking just in 100 meters nearby, thus you can come by car and leave it in a safe place.   We loved our stay here, including the night in the desert they arranged for us. The staff was amazing and the family that owns the guesthouse was incredibly welcoming -- Hassan sat on the terrace with us for half an hour just to chat after we arrived. They're also working to preserve the dunes and keep dirtbikes and quads off them. Great people!   Though we found the facilities quite basic, this riad delivered what we came for. Ali, the owner, was very available, friendly and responsive to our needs. We wanted to experience desert culture and because of him we did. He took us to a village wedding which happened to be taking place the nite we arrived; he took us on a 4wd trip into the desert... was die leute sagen » to visit a family, hear some traditional musicians, and see aspects of the desert we wouldnt have seen without him. The fact that the riad is located - We were very well greeted by Ali and his staff. Ali quickly arranged jeep and dromedary (no camels in Africa) trips for us. The room was nicely decorated, Maroccan style. We had a wonderful evening meal under the tent by the pool and all you can eat breakfast. Above all we got what we came for, to see the desert, visit a different culture and meet friendly people.

  Auberge La Source is placed just in front of the big erg.Hassan´s family is very nice and the service is perfect. Breakfast and dinner were included and they were always big and very delicious. We stayed there only one night but we have many unforgetable memories - sunset in dessert with cammels and our perfect guide Mohamed (thanks a lot, Moha... was die leute sagen » med, it was really a beautiful experience). We can highly recommend this Auberge to other visitors. You will be very happy there. Ivana and Vladimir - La Source is located in the small village of Hassi Labied, a 15min drive from Merzouga and a short walking distance from the Great Dune of Erg Chebbi. The view is wonderful from their terrace. The auberge is clean and welcoming, brothers Omar and Said treated us as real friends and their sisters cooked the best tagines. We would love to go back to La Source and definitely recommend you to choose them.

The rooms were spotless and beautifully decorated with a real eye for detail.   I had a great time at Riad d'Or. It was exactly the type of accommodation I was looking for: one representing the legendary Moroccan hospitality.
