  Kleines Gasthaus, mitten in der kleinen Stadt gelegen und doch sehr ruhig mit einem wunderbaren kleinen Innenhof, in dem gefrühstückt wird. Imponiert und gefallen hat uns besonders die äußerst persönliche, hilfsbereite und die weit über das Normalmaß hinausgehende individuelle Betreuung durch Youssef, den Besitzer des Hauses. Es ist tatsächlich eine außergewöhnliche Unterkunft, was man jedoch unbedingt - Ufff, ich glaube alles. Youssef war der beste Gastgeber aller Zeiten. Es ist sehr nett und freundlich. Chez Youssef ist gut ausgestattet und liegt ganz nah von den Sanddünen. Wenn etwas an Chez Youssef uns gefehlt hat, hat Youssef sich darum gekümmert, dass wir es bekommen. Ich kann Chez Youssef für Erholungsurlaub weiterempfehlen.

Located at Meknes Medina, just 7 minutes walk from the main square and 3 minutes from medina markets, it has a private car parking just in 100 meters nearby, thus you can come by car and leave it in a safe place.   We loved our stay here, including the night in the desert they arranged for us. The staff was amazing and the family that owns the guesthouse was incredibly welcoming -- Hassan sat on the terrace with us for half an hour just to chat after we arrived. They're also working to preserve the dunes and keep dirtbikes and quads off them. Great people! The food is the best I've had in Morocco (and I have been here for 2 months so far). The rooms are very spacious and spotless!   Though we found the facilities quite basic, this riad delivered what we came for. Ali, the owner, was very available, friendly and responsive to our needs. We wanted to experience desert culture and because of him we did. He took us to a village wedding which happened to be taking place the nite we arrived; he took us on a 4wd trip into the desert... was die leute sagen » to visit a family, hear some traditional musicians, and see aspects of the desert we wouldnt have seen without him. The fact that the riad is located - We were very well greeted by Ali and his staff. Ali quickly arranged jeep and dromedary (no camels in Africa) trips for us. The room was nicely decorated, Maroccan style. We had a wonderful evening meal under the tent by the pool and all you can eat breakfast. Above all we got what we came for, to see the desert, visit a different culture and meet friendly people.

I've stayed at a couple of hotels in this area, and I rate Ksar Mezouga as the greatest value by far, and I’m an avid traveler!
