  Our family had a very positive experience during our stay. Great location - short taxi ride from train station; very friendly, helpful staff - from the front desk, breakfast room to housekeeping staff - all are extremely friendly and helpful! Hotel is perfectly located for those wanting to explore the Chateau Blois and the "old city". Shops, cafes... was die leute sagen » and restaurants all within walking distance. All of us would recommend this hotel to all travellers - if looking for an authentic "old" European expe - The hotel was in a wonderful location right in the centre of Blois but with easy parking nearby. When we booked, the proprietor sent a personal email welcoming us and this was typical of the whole style of the hotel which was friendly, cheerful and welcoming. The hotel is in an old, very characterful building said to have belonged originally to the Dukes of Guise, and the owners have kept a lot of character while making sure that it is comfortable and modern where it needs to be.   Used as an overnight stop travelling to Spain. Although situated on within a commercial area it was easy to find a short distance from the main road. It was quiet and comfortable and while not luxury it was good value for money being I consider budget hotel. Staff were attentive and although english speaking welcomed our attempted french!   Room was better than expected for price. Very clean, functional and spacious enough for family of five. The 'family room' is effectively two adjoining rooms to sleep 3. Each contains a double bed and top bunk bed overhead. Shower/toilet is basic but perfectly usable cabin unit within the room. Dog allowed which was great and also Wifi in room was perfect. Tip, try the Pat-a-pain nearby for breakfast, it is amazing!

A really beautiful setting and lovely gardens. Dinner was very reasonably priced and presented beautifully. We had a large room in the Chateau overlooking the gardens and it was everything I hoped it would be. Wouldn't hesitate in going back. We were only there one night so didn't venture out but everything we needed was available. Just beautiful.

  Very charming chateau outside of Onzain. The chateau keepers could not have been kinder or more accommodating. Our French was not strong at all, and they very kindly helped translate a menu for us at a very nice restaurant they recommended in the neighboring town to celebrate our anniversary. The view from our 2nd floor room was truly spectacular! And the breakfast they offere - I loved the Hotel. Very nice staff and very relaxing place conveniently located next to the most famous Loire Castles. I will go back. A great find! The Loire castles are beautiful and visiting them is a pleasure. I stayed 3 days but I could have stayed a week. So much to see. Do not forget to visit the caves and do some wine tasting.
