  The chateau is approached down a long wooded drive and it appeared in the sunshine and was spectacular. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious and comfortable, with period fittings. Don't expect walk in showers here - they would be completely inappropriate. We walked around the woods and fields and had a picnic one evening in the greenhouse. The attention to detail they have put into bringing this beautiful place - We loved everything about Chateau de Pont Rilly. It was our first stay in a chateau and it exceeded all our expectations. The owners have restored the place to perfection. Our bedroom & en suite bathroom were spacious & beautifully decorated in keeping with the 18th century building. We were greeted with great French hospitality from the owners & given cheese & beer outside in the sunshine. Jean- Jacques gave us his tour of the estate. Fascinating! We stayed 2 nights & are r
